ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Python Programming Day #3 – 31 Dec 2016

Day #3! We’re ready to create some virus, infect some files and recover them using anti-virus 😉

and Arya couldn’t wait to see how viruses work 😀

We learned two virus today: a duplicating self virus and an encryption virus 🙂 For each virus there is an antivirus.

The code for each one is very long and cryptic

It took a while to type and debug it 🙂

Plus we have to be extra careful running the virus, otherwise the whole directory of python work for the last 3 days will be infected 😀

We had to quarantine the virus in a separated folder to make sure it only infect the files we wanted to be infected 🙂 Notes: running anti-virus will clean the virus file too 😀

Dea had just lost her virus wiped away by the anti-virus, Abit start massaging his shoulder due to long typing, and Arya said “Ka, I’m giving up typing, can we take a break” for the tenth times 😀

So Capt. Zaki had to copy the virus file to Arya’s laptop after Arya promised he will type the anti-virus 😀

While Capt. Fizhan specialization is still: babysitting 😀

Here they are: our kids python programmers! Watch out world! They can encrypt, they can decrypt and they can create viruses that encrypt!!! 😀

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Python Programming Day #2 – 30 Dec 2016

Day #2 of Python Programming 🙂 We’re ready to learn some encryption and decryption 😉

We typed lots of codes in Python today, and sure we learned a lot too! 🙂

Capt. Zaki had to take care of two computers because Arya’s wouldn’t install Python so he kept trying to install every version while copying Arya’s data to the other computer 🙂

There was a father looked very interested to sign his kid up to ProCodeCG class, he was trying to convince the kid 😀

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Creating Games Day #1 🙂

We were expecting 16 kids but one changed the topic and one didn’t feel well (hoping that she can join us tomorrow)

Setting up and installing before the class started. Capt. Fizhan helped Gerry to connect to the internet and install GameMaker

We had 6 captains on duty today: Lead Captain Zaki, Captain Azriel, Captain Reza, Captain Syahna, Captain Fizhan and Chief Captain CG 🙂

Registration session was over so Capt. Syahna can read a book 😀

Lots of parents stayed in the class assisting their kids 🙂

We did warming up with CodeCombat 🙂 To teach the kids basic logic of programming 🙂

Kids can see their progress on the big screen so they will be challenged to finish all levels 🙂 After they finished this, they were allowed to start creating games with GameMaker 🙂

Lucky we had lots of captains because lots of problems to be fixed 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Intro to Programming, GameMaker, Java Programming, Apps Programming

Due to small number of kids attending the class yesterday, we ran both class at the same time 🙂

This is Rafi adding improvements to his GameMaker game 🙂

Fadhil had just arrived with his little brother, looking at the screen trying to figure out what those Arduino kids were doing 😀

Hello Yogi! Yogi came back with a new game: soccer! 🙂 He created lots of new sprites for his new game. He also added some lines of code to it, he found some examples from YouTube 🙂

Capt. Azriel was very busy doing his game project in Stencyl. He and his friends are creating this “Om Telolet Om” game and plan to release it at the PlayStore very soon 🙂

Fadhil continued learning about coding with Blockly 🙂 He is a fast learner, yet so easily distracted 🙂

If we don’t see it before our very own eyes, we wouldn’t believe a small kid like Rezvan is so willingly learning Java Programming 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Arduino Programming – 24 Dec 2016

Yesterday we learned a new component: seven segment 🙂 This class started at 1 pm because there was another schedule in the morning. Not so many kids could make it to the class, but we had enough to start the class 🙂

Nafis was back after several weeks 🙂 Welcome back Nafis 🙂

Farrell was ready to explore his new TFT display and connect it to a gyroscope 🙂 He needs to figure out how to make it work before displaying the data readings from gyroscope.

Nafis’ mom is an electrical engineer, so he really had a great help there 🙂

We use common anode seven segment to display numbers from 0 to 9. Renald used common cathode one and it worked as well 🙂

Rezandra missed several classes, and it was great to see him in class again yesterday 🙂

Ren finished his really quick and started to explore how to input the number from serial monitor 🙂

And our Lead Captain was back too, Capt. Zaki 🙂 He was really busy during his first year in high school, now he is catching up with the class to be able to assist the upcoming kids coding camp 🙂 Farrell asked lots of technical things to Zaki 🙂

ProCodeCG at C0&Co DevCember2016 – 17 Dec 2016

ProCodeCG was taking part in this awesome developer meetup day 🙂 As listed on the poster, our founder shared about Intro to Python for Encryption and Decryption.

This event adopt BarCamp concept where there are many stages with different speakers delivering different topics at the same time. ProCodeCG was on Bar 3, the session is from 13:00 – 13:45

Before the session started, Kang Helmi from DyCodeX gave an opening speech

Followed by a welcome speech from the owner of Co&Co Space

He explained about Co&Co and very welcome about anyone who’s interested making collaboration or signing up for membership. They are giving special price and discount 🙂

DyCodeX gave away a cool developer t-shirt to one of the audience 😉

Hello, some of the kids didn’t come today but we had enough kids to do each topics of this class 🙂

Pru and Cinta (not in the pic) were working on creating apps

Pru misses several classes so she took sometime to recall the lesson from the last class 🙂 While Cinta was getting ready to create a new apps: attendance list app 🙂

Vian is still very busy with his game assets. He said he had no idea for the game today, he just wanted to create sprites 🙂 Hope you’ll get them back soon, Vian 🙂

J had some problems with radio button action listener because radio button group cannot have action listener

Sure it is a difficult task. We’ll figure out some simpler way to do it, J 🙂
