Yesterday we learned a new component: seven segment 🙂 This class started at 1 pm because there was another schedule in the morning. Not so many kids could make it to the class, but we had enough to start the class 🙂
Nafis was back after several weeks 🙂 Welcome back Nafis 🙂
Farrell was ready to explore his new TFT display and connect it to a gyroscope 🙂 He needs to figure out how to make it work before displaying the data readings from gyroscope.
Nafis’ mom is an electrical engineer, so he really had a great help there 🙂
Capt. Fizhan helped Nafis to get started 🙂
We use common anode seven segment to display numbers from 0 to 9. Renald used common cathode one and it worked as well 🙂
Rezandra missed several classes, and it was great to see him in class again yesterday 🙂
Ren finished his really quick and started to explore how to input the number from serial monitor 🙂
And our Lead Captain was back too, Capt. Zaki 🙂 He was really busy during his first year in high school, now he is catching up with the class to be able to assist the upcoming kids coding camp 🙂 Farrell asked lots of technical things to Zaki 🙂
Captain Malik! 🙂
Capt. Malik with his new ProCodeCG Jacket 🙂
Capt. Zaki catching up with Arduino stuff
Rheino examined his schematic very carefully 🙂
Raul (wearing grey shirt) is new to the class (this one is his second) but he could read the schematic very well 🙂
Ren’s working nicely
While Capt. Malik preferred to tinker with his new 8×8 dot matrix LED 😀
Ok it worked and there’s so much thing we can do with this thing 🙂
Malik drew this cute creature
Or smiley
The next challenge for Malik is to make this object shift from left or right 🙂
And the next challenge for the class is to enter a number from 0 – 9 from the serial monitor to be displayed on seven segment 🙂
