ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 26 Aug 2017

ProCodeCG always keeps commitment, even when there are only a few kids, we still open the class 😉

Today not many kids come to the class because our president, Bapak Joko Widodo will visit Bandung for a carnaval so many people stay off the street and prefer to stay at home to avoid traffic 🙂 *what really happen is that this early, the street is so clear, the traffic is so low 🙂

Emma shows her homework: to create a tic-tac-toe game with C

Emma has successfully created a random function to be the computer’s move

The next problem is to create an algorithm to make the computer choosing the better move 🙂 *a complex problem but surprisingly Emma understands it very well

Azriel has finished his Flappy Bird Game 🙂

with several levels 🙂

And he continues to create Agario Game 🙂

Done! 🙂 Next week he’ll be ready to invent a new game 😉

Ozan is improving pedestrian traffic light button

instead activating by pressing a button, the traffic light for pedestrian is activated when the ultrasonic sensor sense an object

The light was not working properly and Ozan learned to debug the code to make it work 😉 Next time we will create an ultrasonic gesture password 🙂

Nanin 🙂

She decided to create her new game not with Thunkable

but with GameMaker 🙂

Nanin is going to make a game to select animal category: pet vs wild animals 😉

Nanin’s got lots of ideas 🙂

but she has to deal with some image processing 😀 we will see the progress next week 🙂

We leave the class earlier today (it is usually 9 – 12, today it’s 9 – 11). There are lots of cops all around the corners

and also presidential security service everywhere 😉

Feels much saver to have cops this many 😀

ProCodeCG – 5 Days Kids Coding Crash Course – Day #4 – 21 Aug 2017

The fourth day! 🙂 We add more things to the maze game *in coding/game making, once you start you cannot stop 😀

Ghazaska keeps adding levels

like following objects and set up the horizontal and vertical borders because the background is moving

This is supposed to be a race, so we’re going to need another dolphin to start it 😉

This is how ProCodeCG celebrate Indonesia Independence Day 😉 We have this annual event to show the world the work of ProCodeCG Kids 🙂 They will present what they have learned to their parents and public audiences 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Open Topics – 19 Aug 2017

How do you spend your Saturday? This is how we spend ours 🙂

Ain today started to create games with GameMaker 🙂

Cinta was very happy working on her project in Minecraft 🙂

She was also so excited to create an game app that sort out alphabets or colors 🙂

Capt. Faris was working on face recognition in between duty 🙂

Faris had successfully train the code to recognize objects 🙂 We’re going to feed it with different datasets 🙂

Emma is the only one learning C Programming in the class 🙂

She was given a sorting ascending and descending homework and she did it 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Arduino/ESPectro Programming – 19 Aug 2017

Hello Saturday 🙂 Working together setting up the class 🙂

Unexpected family reunion 😀

OK let’s get started 🙂

Abdillah got lots of things to do today because he’s going to a hackathon next week. We need to buy a gesture sensor, and before it arrives, we’re doing experiments with gyro

We tried several devboards including Arduino Uno and Arduino Mega

But the problem apparently because we installed the incompatible libraries. We’ll find the correct ones and try again

Hello Nafis welcome back 😉

Nafis was going to create an ultrasonic counter 🙂

But he got distracted with the avometer and started to learn how to use it. Plus learning how to count resistor values 🙂

He was afraid he was going to electrocuted measuring the value of resistor LOL 😀

Then Nafis started the project with the help of Rezky 🙂

In ProCodeCG Kids Classes, we nurture the willingness to help and share with other kids. Kids are encouraged to teach other kids and share what they know 🙂 Good job, Rezky 😉

Abdillah also helped Nafis to check the components because the devboard and sensors got heated up because the polarity was reversed 😀 And the ultrasonic sensor got burnt 😀

Awa! Was busy preparing for next Thursday’s Republic of IoT presentation 🙂

Awa is improving his cat feeder. This is how it looks like. It uses servo to open and close the lid to pour out the food.

Before, it uses button to activate the servo.

And today Awa will use ultrasonic instead of button to activate the servo

Abdillah and Faris helped to set up the servo

And it worked nicely! Yaaaay, Awa is ready for the presentation 😉

And then Awa was given a task to activate a micro servo

doing it together with Abdillah 🙂

And worked. And we’re going to create many projects with servo 😉

Teamwork in class 🙂 Abdillah, Nafis and Rezky are working together to debug Nafis’ project 🙂

These ones are also teamworking to design something. Cinta is going to improve the ultrasonic traffic light. Probably with counter 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – ESPectro/Arduino Programming – 12 Aug 2017

Today we’re preparing for ProCodeCG Kids Coding Exhibition 17 August 2017 🙂

Clarence is going to present about one of his projects

Clarence has been doing research with ESPectro and created lots of things

Mostly about visualizations using LCD

This one is a space shooter visualization

Clarence has been doing some tuning to the fps and the algorithm

He also has sorting algorithm visualization to be presented on the exhibition

Rezky is one of the most focus and diligent 🙂 He is now working on ultrasonic counter after finishing all the previous sections 🙂

And continue to ultrasonic sensor 🙂

Ghazaska don’t give up easily. But he needs to take a break once in a while, just like other kids usually do: Minecraft / YouTube 🙂

We will learn to create game on Day #3, but before creating our own games, we learn to do coding with games 🙂 CodeCombat 🙂
