Every Saturday there’s always be new things to be learned, lots of progress and sometimes breakthrough 🙂

Sulaiman was ready to learn more Javascript code for Minecraft Modding

Sul learned to create tunnel in Minecraft 🙂

There was some errors and we fixed it

Nares was determined with the mission to add lives to the game 🙂

We tried every way we knew to make it work

Vian, is getting better at logic and problem solving 🙂

Vian was given a task that no one in the class can solve so far 🙂

It is creating a running text with Minecraft Redstone 🙂

Vian had a brilliant idea: he used glow stone and rails 🙂 How cool is that! No one has ever thought of it before 😀

Koosha came with new components, he hadn’t told us yet what to create 😀

 

But then there’s a problem with his OS 😦

That needed to be fixed first 😦 Needed to be reinstalled

ProCodeCG – Darul Hikam – Coding Class – 20 April 2018

Today we had one captain and one student 🙂 But this didn’t necessarily mean that we didn’t learn and had some fun 😉 Capt. Bullit brought his Little Bits to show the kids how hardware works 🙂

Adryan was very interested 🙂

With Little Bits, kids can assembly the modules to create things. They can combine light, sound, sensors just by connect the modules.

And then showed us how to create a pressure sensor that will activate the buzzer if the door is opened 😉

 

Enough hardware things, now we get back to creating games 🙂

But first, lunch 😀

ProCodeCG – BDV – Data Science – Day 2 – 18 Apr 2018

ProCodeCG Data Science – Techical Series – Day #2 😉

Less people coming, probably because the topic is harder than previous topics 😀

Today we learned to process and analyze data from a weather station server 🙂

This series will be extended 🙂 There will be 3rd and 4th on 30 April and 7 May 2018 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 14 Apr 2018

This is not just a regular coding class. This is a research center of ProCodeCG Kids 😉

This is from earlier: Aidia and Echa helped preparing the class 😉

Echa missed several classes and got back with lots of ideas 🙂

One of Echa’s project is to create Hogwart School 😉

Aidia had her own project too 🙂

Aidia likes to build structures in Minecraft

And explores things can be done in Minecraft like cooking

Or created hidden place to hide stuffs

or trying funny things like making things upside down 😀

She also has pets too 🙂 Later Aidia will learn to do things in Minecraft with JavaScript coding 😉

Sulaiman continued his JavaScript coding in Minecraft 🙂

Today Sul created a skyscraper 🙂

With code we can create how many floors as we want 🙂

We can also add colors too to the skyscraper

So we got a rainbow building 🙂

Kinan, welcome back 🙂

To refresh the memory, Kinan re-created her race car game, and did it differently 😉

Nafis was given task to test micro servo for our robotic project 🙂 Nafis was in IoT team but he’s needed to help us with the testing too 🙂 Thanks Nafis 🙂

Sam continued working on his RaceCar game, still struggling to add fuel indicator 🙂

The most interesting thing about coding is that there’s many ways to do things. Kids will learn about problem solving by finding and choose their own way to fix a problem 🙂

Fathan was on the same track with Sam. He was also working on fuel indicator on the RaceCar Game

The problem with Fathan’s is there was some errors at the end of the game because when the car crashes into the other, then the fuel indicator cannot find its position because the car changed into the wrecked car sprite 😀 We still need to figure it out next week 😉

Fadhlan was given totally a new task: a robotic research 😉

First, Fadhlan had to read the tutorial

And then browse the internet to find the components

Capt. Awa was about to continue his vending machine project but given a new task to give Fadhlan a demo of how stepper motor work 🙂

So Awa prepared the code

and did some components research too

and then wrote down what we needed for the robotic project

ProCodeCG – Darul Hikam – Coding Class – 13 April 2018

Our Friday Coding at Darul Hikam Elementary School 🙂

Captain on Duty: Capt. Bullitt 🙂

 

Today Hanif started to create his own version of Flappy Bird 🙂

We began from scratch: Hanif created his own pipes and bird 🙂

We only download the background, everything else was created by Hanif 🙂

The game is working fine 🙂

Later Capt. Awa added a fire burst at the end of the bird so it looks like a rocket 😀

Capt. Bullitt helped Hanif to improve the game

Adryan wanted to create a new game  🙂

The game he created last week can still be improved but he said he will do it later 😀

And like usual, Adryan likes to draw the sprites, in details 🙂

 

Yaaay, Adryan’s new game 🙂 This frog will jump from a lotus leaf to another 🙂 The game will be similar to Flappy Bird, and we’re going to continue it next week 🙂

Capt. Bullitt explored Game Maker Studio 2 to see if there are interesting features not available on the version we’re using now 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class -7 Apr 2018

How’s your Saturday? This is ours 😉

Firaas helped preparing the class 🙂 He and his mom always come very early 🙂

The class after most of the kids showed up 🙂

Firaas learns Minecraft very quickly. He created lots of things with RedStone.

This circuit, produces music 🙂

Nares had just came back from an event at his school. Very sleepy and tired, he came to the class to learn 🙂

Nares finished his second part of intro to programming and going to start creating games next week 🙂

Nafis was ready to continue his IoT project 😉

Nafis’ mission is to turn on/off this LED via cloud from his Android phone 🙂

And yeah it worked 😉

Capt. Awa mission was to continue his vending machine project 🙂

But Capt. Awa felt like to show us the improvement he made in some games he created 😀

And then Awa wanted to add another row of vending machine. So he had to add another motor servo and controller to the circuit 🙂

Not as easy as we thought, we got stuck because none of the servo worked 😀

So Koosha came to help

Koosha had a great way to debug it 🙂

The button pressing was detected but the servo didn’t move a bit 🙂 We need more time to debug 🙂

Nothing is impossible for Koosha 🙂 Next class he’s going to be assigned a new project: robotics 🙂

Azriel was still struggling with digital clock in Minecraft

Azriel had to start all over again because the last time did not work

It is quite a complex structure 🙂

We also did some research on how to create a robot in Minecraft 😀

Too many things to do, too many ideas to be executed but we still have next week 🙂 Until then 😉

 

 

ProCodeCG – ITENAS – IoT and Industry 4.0 – 12 April 2018

Today ProCodeCG was invited to share about IoT and Industry 4.0 at Industrial Engineering Departement – ITENAS 🙂

A very comprehensive and details presentation about Industry 4.0. Gave lots of new insights from the view of industrial engineering (ProCodeCG is too electrical engineering :D)

Today ProCodeCG shared about the evolution of IoT, its implementation, prediction in the future and the issues 🙂

We also showed how far ProCodeCG Kids have gone with IoT 🙂

ProCodeCG – BDV – Data Science – Day 1 – 9 Apr 2018

Our technical series topic for this month is Data Science 🙂

We learned about data science theories

Some basic statistics

We also crawl some data from Instagram for a certain hashtag and see how a GraphQL looks like compared to JSON. We will learn to process the data and probably will do clustering too in the next classes 😉

The class

Not as much people as before which is kind of a blessing because today we have to change venue due to Coding Mum for the Disables , another ProCodeCG event working in parallel 😀

We’re going to do about 2 – 4 more sessions of this topic, only those who attend all four classes will get certificate 🙂

ProCodeCG – Coding Mum Disabilitas – BDV – 9 April 2018

After a week learning HTML, CSS and bootstrap, today is the presentation day of Coding Mum Disabilitas Bandung 🙂 ProCodeCG as Bandung Coordinator would like to thank Bekraf, Kolla, Bandung Digital Valley, the mentors and interpreters, and for all the support to make this happen 🙂

and the mentors back off for a while, because the presentation was about to start

The first presentation: Evi Riandhini (deaf), created a website to display variety of food being served at Kedai Ragawangi. Evi can talk very clearly.

Dadi Rosida created a website for Desa Tenjolaut. He used lots of difficult coding with HTML, CSS and PHP.

Herwin Hermansyah (deaf). He does not talk, and do the presentation full in sign language.

Herwin created a website that lists museums in West Java because he likes museum very much 🙂

Putri Nur Agustin (handicapped) created a website for a showcase of her handmade macrame bags 🙂

She had learned to create macrame products for about 3 years and she named the product as Tas Talikur

Dian Monika (low vision) was a very active person before she gradually losing her vision. Now she only has 30% of vision but she is very confident and independent. Hoping that the vision will get better because she had undergone many surgeries.

Dian used to travel a lot and make videos about interesting places. She created a website about traveling for the handicapped persons so they can also find places interesting to visit. Dian put some videos she created when she still has 100% vision so that the blind ones can still get the information from the website because she put clear narrations and good music in the videos.

Al-Islamabad (deaf). He created a website for his business.

While Israidha Riviani Rivai created a guest house website

Eunike Aginta Sitepu (half blind) created a website for her almond milk product: Tabo Fresh 🙂

She brought some samples that quickly got sold and we had to do PO to get the product 🙂

Mira Ratnawulan (deaf) is a hip hop dancer 🙂 She created a website about hip hop dancers, of course 🙂

These two are observers that also join the class: Yassir Arafat

and Dwi Ayuni. Both created websites related to the community they are closely observing: the disabilities 🙂

It was a great experience to see this Avengers showing their superpowers! We’re planning to make more classes for the disables in Bandung 🙂 Pray for us! 🙂

Captain on duty: Captain Bullit

the captain developed his own games as examples in the class 🙂

Hanif started to create a new game 🙂

the game use totally different control keys 🙂 the main character will follow the mouse click

and it can shoot to zombies trying to attack him 🙂

There are still a lot of things can be added to this game 🙂 We’ll see what Hanif will come up with next week 🙂

Adryan also created a new game

He carefully drew all the characters

 

And thinking about the scenario of the game

And came up with the idea of a game of a sick kid that avoids medicines 😀

Adryan felt so sleepy he asked to take a break for 5 – 10 minutes to take a nap 😀

And after that he continued working and this is the result 🙂
