ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 28 July 2018

We started preparing ourselves for our annual ProCodeCG Kids Exhibition 2018 🙂

Sam already knew what to present for the exhibition

Sam has been developing games in GameMaker for weeks

He becomes so good at it, and keep enhancing his techniques by watching lots of tutorials and practice them

Sam is very detail about everything, including about the sprites

this smooth and sleek game is what Sam will present on the exhibition 😉

Sulaiman learned new things about Redstone in Minecraft today 🙂

And then Sulaiman learned to create an elevator 😉

And then Sul created several kind of automatic doors 🙂 Cool 🙂

“The next our”?!?!?? What–?

Capt. Awa brought all the gears for exhibition preparation

Capt. Awa was having problem with power distribution because those two motors consumed lots of power

The problem was the power was not enough so it wasn’t distributed evenly. Only one motor worked

We got a newcomer, Salman

Salman is Edo’s friend 🙂

Edo and Salman will collaborate to create a website to be presented on the exhibition

These guys had learned HTML today, now they are ready to add real contents to the website. Next thing is to design and make it interactive using CSS and JavaScript 😉

Nadine learned to code in Python very quickly

Nadine learned looping, conditionals and functions today. She created a code to print lots of string or number, a code to check whether a number is odd or even, a code to enter username and password, a code to create a simple calculator an many more 🙂

Vian created a very sophisticated library that has walls that can slides automatically. He’s an expert in Redstone and command block! 🙂

 

Yogi hasn’t been asked to join the exhibition because we want to let him explore things for a while 🙂

This week he wanted to create a race game

There are several kids didn’t come to the class today, hoping that they will come the next class to be able to prepare themselves 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 21 July 2018

Our productive Saturday morning 🙂

Hello, Capt. Awa was determined to debug his SIM900 project 🙂

Sam made huge progress in animating the sprite in his game

Capt. Faris, always has something to do while assisting others 🙂

Today is exploring Android Studio

While Uno continued learning to code simple structures like triangles with colors, etc 🙂

We spent lots of time debugging Kinan’s Agario code

And Maryam had sucessfully finished his BreakOut game nicely 🙂

We got Fadhlan back after a while! 🙂 He needed some time to pick up where he left off with the robot 😀

Fadhlan had just got a new toolbox to keep his scattered things 😀 He needs it urgently because all this time he just threw the robots and all electronic things to his backpack!!!

Fadhlan was trying to put pieces together again 😀

Hello, Nadine! Nadine was back and she wanted to learn Python! Great!

Nadine learned simple turtle codes to draw things in Python

She seemed enjoying it very much! Nice work Nadine 🙂

Vian was still executing his ideas in Minecraft, not yet finished 🙂

Yogi had lots of ideas and questions about the game he’s creating

Sam was asked to help Yogi and they agreed to do it together the next class 🙂

Jundy chose a new project for himself: Android Studio. Let’s see if there’s any progress next week 😉

On the next class we will prepare ourselves for our annual ProCodeCG Kids Exhibition 🙂

 

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 14 July 2018

Our regular Saturday coding class 😉

Sam was ready to add more animation to the game

Maryam continued her Iqbal – Nuranni game 😀

The game is about an object that can shoot another object

Ain helped Maryam with the game

Sul was given a task to create a pyramid in Minecraft

Edo was still struggling with Linux downloading and instalation

Edo was tutored by Capt. Faris

And we got a newcomer: Rafsyan 🙂

Before starting Minecraft Modding, Rafsyan had to finished Minecraft Hour of Code 🙂

Rafsyan learned basic programming algorithm by doing this exercise that looks like playing a game 😀

Yes, after finishing this, Rafsyan can start Minecraft Modding 🙂

Rafsyan was very impressed with what we can build with code in Minecraft 😉

Capt. Awa has a project to do with SIM900

Awa had lots of problems to make the module work

Capt. Faris helped Capt. Awa to debug the code

Vian is still trying to find ways to do animation in Minecraft

Ain trying to catch up with what Vian had been doing 🙂

Welcome back Yogi! 🙂

It’s been a long time since the last time Yogi joined this class, and this time he has lots of ideas to be executed like this shooting game 🙂

Fathan was also doing the same kind of game, and used different tricks 😉

 

 

 

Capt. Faris created a sample code to generate a pyramid in Minecraft

This class is never boring because kids always find new things to do and interaction with others gives them more ideas and challenges 🙂 Always looking forward to see the kids in the class again 🙂 Until next week!

 

 

 

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 7 July 2018

Our kids coding regular class today 🙂

Maryam already had an idea for the game she was about to create today 🙂

Sam has been getting better each time. He created a very advanced shooting game in GameMaker 🙂

Sam started to add animation to the game 🙂

Nafis, was ready to assembly his robot after skipping several classes 🙂

Nafis had to connect the servos to the controller

Too bad we all forgot to bring solder, but we can use connecting wires for a while 🙂

Uno still learning basic and simple structures in Minecraft

Kinan persistently working on her Agario-like game 🙂

Edo is the only one learning Linux (Capt. Faris – wearing ProCodeCG jackets was assigned to assist)

Sam helped Maryam to create the game

Sam knows lots of tricks and techniques in GameMaker

Fathan is also getting very good in GameMaker

Gamemaker can be used the create advanced game 🙂 A very good tools to introduce programming for kids

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 30 June 2018

Our regular coding class 🙂

There was less kids but didn’t mean that there was less progress 🙂

Maryam was getting better at creating games 🙂

And Vian (no, not those two guys, but this one in front of the screen) continuing his Minecraft project

And Sul mission is to create pyramid in Minecraft, manually

and later he will learn how to code a pyramid with Javascript 😉

to generate this sleek and nice pyramid in no time 😉

There’s always things to explore and The most important thing is that the kids learn something new each time 😉

 

 

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding – Day #3

The last day of ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding 🙂

The kids were divided into teams and had to finish the challenges given 🙂

The challenge was to create these structures with JavaScript to be run on Spigot Server Minecraft:

1. Pyramid with alternate colors
2. Round skyscraper
3. Skyscraper with dancefloor
4. Half-circled stadium
5. Any structures different from the examples

Team 3 contained very young kids so they are allowed to create the structures manually 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding – Day #2

OK, Day #2 of Minecraft Modding Coding Camp 🙂

Today kids did more coding, they typed lots of lines and then execute it in Minecraft 🙂

We created lots of structures, starting from piles of blocks to bridge, tunnel, skyscraper, igloo, pyramid, triangles and so much more!

Aidia taught Gazka how to create a roller coaster in Minecraft (behind Capt. Faris was creating the JavaScript coding version :D)

Lots of coding and progress today, tomorrow kids will be working in groups and be given challenge 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding – Day #1

Day #1 Minecraft Modding Coding Camp 😉

Don’t get us wrong: we don’t play games. We make programs in a game (Minecraft) with a programming language named JavaScript. We typed in codes to an editor, save it to a server directory and then run it inside the game so we can create awesome structures better and faster than doing it manually 🙂

Kids will learn about patterns, algorithm, looping, structures visually. They learn how to build things from scratch with codes written in JavaScript.

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Python Programming – Day #3

The last day of Kids Python Programming Coding Camp 🙂

Veyzha actually learned two things today: Python programming and GameMaker 😀 Veyzha had successfully made a simple calculator GUI in Python and then helped Kenzie to do the same thing 🙂

Kenzie finished the task to create a simple calculator with GUI and explore simple artificial intelligence in Python 😉

Vius had completed lots of difficult challenges. Including creating a pizza restaurant form that can calculate the price and the discount for different kind of pizzas and different kind of toppings for each kind of pizzas 😀

Ren finished task very quickly today 🙂 He went through encryption, decryption, virus, antivirus and encryption-decryption virus then simple artificial intelligence 😀

Ren helped Veyzha to debug the program 😉

 

Capt. Faris created his own applicable app with Android Studio 😀 Awesome 🙂

Our incredible Python Programmers 😉 Veyzha had to leave earlier so there were only 3 of them at the end of the class 🙂

Glad to be able to produce another class of Python Programmers! See you again kids, now you have the skills most people want so bad 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Python Programming – Day #2

Day #2 of Kids Python Programming 🙂

Kenzie was busy exploring turtle in Python to see what can be done by changing the iteration, movement and angle 😀

Vius was given a task to create a GUI for calculator

 

 

Veyzha got lists of work to do: displaying numbers from 1 – 100 ascending and descending, displaying even and odd numbers, calculating powers, etc 😉

Ren (how come we didn’t take his pic today? :((( ) Ren had finished most of the tasks today 😉 Including, calculating powers, factorial,  creating a simple calculator GUI 🙂 well done!

Tomorrow the kids will be given more difficult challenge to make sure they are a qualified Python programmers 😉
