Hello Saturday 🙂 Time for being productive 😉

Today Fadhlan is ready to finish mounting all the components to his robot

ProCodeCG Kids Private Robotic Class – 21 Sept 2018

We have a deadline and lots of things to do! 😉 We buy new components each time to make sure we have back ups and all the stuff we need 🙂

Today we test the codes and the components individually

We tested the ultrasonic sensor

Which worked nicely

And then we test the micro servo

and it also worked fine

Fadhlan has to rearrange all the components before we test all the components and see how they work together

Such a big progress in a short time but we still need lots of time for testing and analysis. Plus writing and making poster 😀 Wish us luck!!!

ProCodeCG Kids Homeschool Coding Class – 20 Sep 2018

Coding is what we do to spend our Thursday 🙂

Kinan is so ready to give her games improvements

Like new levels, new characters and new secret portals 😉

Kinan put different sprites, maze and level of difficulties and even different sounds to each levels 🙂

The game is more interesting and challenging 🙂

 

Justin just started to create his game because he missed the last class

Justin learned to create sprites, objects and room today 🙂

 

Justin pays attention to each details, he wants this game to be as similar as the real PacMan game 🙂

Looking so good 🙂

Kids can put lots of ideas into a game, and there’s still lots of games to be made 🙂 The excitement will never wear off 🙂

Our fully packed class this Saturday! 🙂

Edo is going to explore shell scripting today

So does Salman

Fadhlan, as always: got tons to do with the robot 🙂

while Sam is working so hard figuring out problem with his Plants vs Zombie remaking with GameMaker 🙂

And Sul is ready to explore Minecraft further, he’s going to find ways to connect Minecraft to the outside world 😉

Djalu, is so happy with creating games with GameMaker Studio 😉

Sam helped Djalu with some coding tricks

Faishal is also working on creating game with GameMaker. But next week he’s going to learn Python 😉

Our newcomer today: Harraz 🙂

Harraz jumped right away to creating games with GameMaker because we had problems with the internet: everybody is downloading or updating things 😀

Harraz is very excited 🙂

It is amazing how much Harraz can make on his first class 🙂 He created lots of sprites, and also backgrounds 🙂 The game will be finished very soon 🙂

and the other newcomer: Agham 🙂

Agham learned basic programming logics with Minecraft Hour of Code

Agham started a new challenge 🙂

Kevin need some time to learn about basic components before continuing his robot

so today Kevin learned to create Traffic Light Simulator with Pedestrian Button 🙂

Yogi is getting better with the game he is making 🙂 He added lots of lines of codes to improve it 🙂

The game control is so smooth and the looks is so real 🙂

Yogi keeps adding details to the game, including the effects that makes it feels real

We’re so glad Ozan is here! We need his help to test the components to be used by Fadhlan’s robot 😉

Ozan had gone through almost all Arduino and ESPectro projects so he is the right person to help Fadhlan with the testing 😉

Kinan is still struggling with downloading and installing GameMaker Studio 2 🙂 She was given homework to learn from some video tutorials to catch up with how GameMaker Studio works differently compared to GameMaker 🙂

So many things unfinished today, due to downloading and installing and stuff 🙂 can’t wait until the next class and see how things work! 🙂

ProCodeCG – Darul Hikam – Coding Class – 14 Sept 2018

Friday Coding Class 🙂

Ezhar learned so much today, he finished his Maze Game using Game Maker Studio 2 🙂 We finally sorts things out and find out one by one how to create things like we usually do with GameMaker Lite

Daffa started to create the next challenge: Race Car Game 🙂

Arsa’s Race Car Game is also in the making 🙂

Hanif now has a partner to explore GameMaker Studio 2: Ezhar 🙂 They work as a team 🙂

Khalis is so excited to see how the Race Car Game is supposed to be 🙂 He’s getting ready to create his own 😉

Raees lost his work from the last class (apparently he forgot to save it) but later he recovered and create a new one 🙂

Faisal (wearing glasses) had started Race Car Game since last week and now ready to add more features

Danen is working on Arduino and LED and button

This apparently need one more connection to the digital output 🙂

Daffa wants to improve his Maze Game before moving on to Race Car Game

Isma’ill is already ahead his friends in Race Car Game 🙂 He is given more challenge to be added to his game

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 8 September 2018

Saturday is time to learn different things than what we learn at school 🙂

Sam is still working on his Plants vs Zombie remaking project in GameMaker 🙂 The game is quite complex, he has to think and work hard to make it work

This game requires lots of tricks and advanced techniques

Nadine wanted to learn some Scratch Programming to create Google logo 🙂

Nadine can modify each letter with codes

The variation is infinite 🙂

Nadine can add dialogue between the letters too 🙂

While Capt. Faris is still making API for an Android Apps to memorize Quran

And of course Fadhlan got loads of work to do with the robot. He has to prepare for the upcoming young scientist competition

Fadhlan has to add ultrasonic sensors and one power source to the robot

Engineers space of work is never neat 😀 Look at that hanging hot solder *Fadhlan kept yelling to warn people to stay away from it 😀

The code

Vian decided to learn Python today. So we installed and update things so he can start to code in Python 😉

Vian said that he wants to learn some Machine Learning with Python 😀

Yogi is very serious game creator. He’s been working on this race car game, and he keeps making it better each week

He added details and more codes to it

Yogi pays attention to every details 🙂 The result is: amazing 🙂

Fathan is also developing a Plants vs Zombie in GameMaker

 

In our class we don’t do things for competition but to learn and have fun 🙂 No pressure unnecessary because life is hard enough! 😉

ProCodeCG – Darul Hikam – Coding Class – 7 Sept 2018

Let’s check up on the progress of our little coders this Friday 🙂

Ezhar started to get used to GameMaker Studio 2

 

Danen learned Minecraft Red Stone today. Minecraft can be used to teach kids about logics and problem solving

Captain on Duty: Capt. Bullit 😉

Shaby didn’t save his work from last week but he successfully re-created the game today 🙂

Ozi, very excited as always 🙂

Daffa had learned lots of things about GameMaker he now can teach other kids 😉

Arsa created a fully-featured Maze Game 🙂 He already make levels and also has enemies chasing the main character

Raees had created the game from scratch several times so now he is fluent enough to create another one without help 🙂

Raees is too excited to see his own sprite 😀 😀 😀

Hanif did research on GameMaker Studio 2 because it is totally different 🙂 He figured out how to do things but there are things we have to work on because the GUI is more complex that the old version of GameMaker or GameMaker Studio

Khalis is very happy with his game 🙂 He added sounds to it looked very pleased 🙂

Faisal moved into the next game: Race Car

And so Isma’ill worked on the same project as Faisal’s

We are using different tricks in this game. The cars will move horizontally or vertically and the view will follow the main car while the other cars will spawn randomly

Kids will learn different techniques and trick in every game they make. The di fficulty level will gradually increase so they will be intellectually and creatively challenged 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Homeschool Coding Class – 6 Sep 2018

Today we started to create our own games 🙂

Abil is very excited to re-learn again GameMaker 😉 He’s already had the scenario and concepts in mind 🙂

And Kinan is really happy to be able to create and draw her own sprites in her own game 🙂 She keeps adding more features to the game 🙂

The target is to create a Maze Game with the main character, the bad guy and the food. Points will be earn when we eat the food, the bad guy will run after the character and after we reach some points, we will move to the next level 🙂

Saturday is never boring for us 😉

Fadhlan got tons of work to do: preparing for two robotics competition 😉 *but the truth is, even when there were no competitions, we will still got tons to do 😀

Djalu was given more programming challenge: procedure/functions

Sam took the challenge to create a Plants vs Zombie remake with GameMaker 😉

Kevin is still working on building the robot. Apparently working with tiny little nuts and bolts is a very good exercise for patience 😀

After think for some time we finally found a challenge that fits Kinan for now: creating a Timberman Game with GameMaker

Capt. Faris is now on a new project: developing API for an app to memorize Al-Quran

Uno didn’t feel like to learn Minecraft today so we figured out a different fun way for her to learn more programming logics 😉

Nadine felt the same as Uno so they were given the same task 🙂

Ozan is back! He got a very important task: to test an infrared remote to be used by Fadhlan to control his robot 🙂

Faishal started to create game with GameMaker

Capt. Awa is busy improving his PacMan game 🙂 He added animation to the sprites and elevates the game’s looks and feel 😉

The most important thing for kids to learn is that they can explore and learn and having fun at the same time 🙂 And making friends to help each other too 😉

ProCodeCG – Darul Hikam – Coding Class – 31 Aug 2018

Our kids regular coding class at Darul Hikam every Friday is always so full of energy 😉 These kids are always excited to learn 🙂

 

Ozi came with several characters he created at home 🙂

Hanif was ready to explore GameMaker Studio. It is more detail and more advanced than the previous version of GameMaker, so it will take a while for us the get used to it 🙂

Daffa is getting more fluent at creating games 🙂 He learns new things each time and he’s more confident now 🙂

Our newcomer: Ezhar 🙂 He got the software pre-installed by the father and it helped him a lot to catch up 🙂

Arsa was very excited to continue his work but his computer was overheated and wouldn’t turn on so he had to join other students

Danen was very helpful as always

he and Captain on Duty: Capt. Bullitt helped to check the attendance list

Danen chose to learn Arduino programming today so Capt. Bullitt gave him assistance

Danen had successfully finished a blinking LED project 😉

Faisal is very quite yet very productive. He had made lots of progress with the games he’s making

Khalis looks happy all the time now, no whining and complaining 🙂 He’s very happy to be able to create characters and story of his own 🙂

Raees had learned how to make a character in a game moves, and how to add scores 🙂

Hana was really glad to get back in the class and picked up where she left happily 🙂

Isma’ill had finished all the features for the Maze Game so he can move on the next game: Racing Car 🙂

Today Habbiel brought a laptop so he could catch up 🙂

In ProCodeCG classes, kids are encouraged to be creative and learn at their own pace. Each kid has an unique way to learn, at different speed and different ways of problem solving 🙂 The most important thing is that they learn and they’re being happy 🙂
