Last Friday, ProCodeCG was invited to Edu Global School as a guest of “One Day Teacher” πŸ™‚

IMG_3898

IMG_3883

We gave intro to coding, what is coding, why do you have to learn to code πŸ™‚

IMG_3886

After a brief intro, we started to install GameMaker on each laptop and getting ready to create our first games πŸ™‚

IMG_3887 IMG_3888

IMG_3889 IMG_3890

They created their own games with their own sprites πŸ™‚

IMG_3891

Everyone looked excited πŸ˜‰

IMG_3892

Some of them work in groups and share lots of idea

IMG_3893 IMG_3894

The sprites looked wonderful!

IMG_3895 IMG_3896

IMG_3897

IMG_3899

This one has a sprite that can move. As soon as another sprite was added and the good guy eat the bad gut and got some scores, then our first game was done πŸ™‚

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() #82 – Pawitra Studio – 3D Modeling Tools in Blender

Standard

Aditya A. Pratama, Technical Director of Pawitra Studio taught us some 3D Modeling tools in Blender on our 82nd codeMeetUp() πŸ™‚

These were our first guests πŸ™‚ They are brothers πŸ™‚

IMG_3161

Look at the enthusiasm πŸ™‚

IMG_3162

The rest of the family (the mom and the youngest child in the back, plus that little girl on the left) arrived πŸ™‚
IMG_3163

Ok let’s start!
IMG_3165

One of the audiece had trouble with the Blender
IMG_3166

We were working on it while following the lesson
IMG_3167

Blender has lots of features for 3D modeling

IMG_3168

IMG_3169

IMG_3170

This tool is very useful to do modeling in details

IMG_3172

This is an example of creating an object
IMG_3173

and change the form by dragging the axis

IMG_3174

It can be divided into several parts

IMG_3175

And then can be mirrored based on certain axis
IMG_3176
IMG_3177

Like this, being cut in a half
IMG_3178

Or being cut in a quarter

IMG_3179

We can make models in low resolution

IMG_3180

or high resolution
IMG_3181
IMG_3182

IMG_3183
IMG_3184

Make round corners
IMG_3185

Or create a hole
IMG_3186
IMG_3187

Pad the hole inside

IMG_3188

Or make two holes in front (an probably make an IronMan mask πŸ™‚ )
IMG_3189

Basically we can do anything
IMG_3190

These are modeling examples and some can be used to
IMG_3193
IMG_3194

People create these assets and we can buy and download it
IMG_3195

There are lots of repository for 3D Models

IMG_3196

With various price schemes
IMG_3197
IMG_3199

This mug model was created by Aditia A. Pratama, uploaded with the tutorial

IMG_3200

This skill is very useful can be monetized!

IMG_3201

All of us! Mostly kids! πŸ™‚

IMG_3203

This is a prove that a small person did comeΒ to our codeMeetUp() πŸ˜‰
IMG_3204

Prawitra Studio will share more next time! We’ll let you know! πŸ™‚

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – ESPectro Core Intro – 24 Sep 2016

Standard

Today we introduced a new development board: DycodeX ESPectro Core to ProCodeCG Kids πŸ˜‰ We were invited to Bandung Maker Day – DevBoard Showdown so we went to different venue and we had to load up our stuff to be set up at the new venue πŸ™‚

IMG_2963

We keep our inventory small and compact to make it portable πŸ™‚

IMG_2964

We went to the 3rd floor
IMG_2965

And it was a wrong place LOL

IMG_2966

DiLo Bandung had set us up a nice and cozy room on the 1st floor πŸ™‚
IMG_2967

We arrived 1 hour earlier so we had lots of time to set up

IMG_2968

Most of the kids arrived early too (because we usually start the class at 9 am)
IMG_2969

And yes, we loved the place!
IMG_2970

We have parents helped us setting up too πŸ™‚

IMG_2971
IMG_2972

Lucky that we have nice parents willing to help us all the time! πŸ™‚

IMG_2973
IMG_2974

OK all set up!

IMG_2975

ProCodeCG DevBoard Kit and ESPectro!
IMG_2976

Prof. Budi Rahardjo welcoming the kids πŸ™‚

IMG_2977
IMG_3013

Whooaaa lots of little makers πŸ˜‰

IMG_3014
IMG_3016 IMG_3017
IMG_3018

We had parents on the back too! Giving us lots of support! πŸ™‚

IMG_3019
IMG_3020
IMG_3022 IMG_3023
IMG_3024

Prof. Budi Rahardjo explained about the layout of ESPectro

IMG_3025

CEO of Perkakasku.com, Handi Limijaya was also there πŸ™‚ He brought the twins to the class πŸ™‚
IMG_3026

We learned to “Hello World” ESPectro by blinking its onboard blue LED πŸ™‚ Β We also tried the onboard button, turn on the NeoPixel LED and connect to MQTT πŸ˜‰

IMG_3027

No guns in class, sir, please! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
IMG_3028

Ria, DyCodeX IoT Developer helped us to debug some errors and making sure the board works πŸ™‚

IMG_3030

We learned A LOT today! We have so much idea to do with ESPectro and will work on it!

ProCodeCG Meeting with DyCodeX – Brief ESPectro Tutorial

Standard

DyCodeX has just released their development board named ESPectro πŸ™‚ They will give ProCodeCG ToT very soon because ProCodeCG will use this board in ProCodeCG Classes to teach kids about IoT πŸ™‚

This is the Lite version of ESPectro ver 1.1

IMG_1676

IMG_1678

On the right is the newer version (components not yet soldered to the board)

IMG_1677

The base version of ESPectro

IMG_1681

IMG_1679

ESPectro Lite can be stacked up on top of the Base, giving more access and features

IMG_1684

It also provides connection with Grove

IMG_1685

The Base can support Bluetooth module

IMG_1686

And MP3 module

IMG_1687

And more!

IMG_1697

IMG_1692

So we gave the Lite board a try, Hello World with Blinking LED onboard πŸ˜‰
IMG_1680

It works πŸ™‚
IMG_1682

Also works with LED on breadboard πŸ™‚

IMG_1683

DyCodeX also gave us a brief demo on how to connect to Wifi with ESPectro

IMG_1693

IMG_1695

So ProCodeCG is so going to use ESPectro for teaching and research and making things!

We will create ProCodeCG ESPectro Kit plus the curriculum and tutorials πŸ˜‰

IMG_1694

DyCodeX Team from the right: Andri Yadi (CEO), Dian R. Helmi (CMO), Ali and Ria (IoT Developer)
IMG_1691

Thanks DyCodeX, it’s always a pleasure working with you guys πŸ™‚
