ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 10 Mar 2018

An extraordinary regular thing for us every Saturday: kids coding class 😉

Hello Capt. Awa 😉

Awa was really busy working on his vending machine project

Well, even a Captain needs a break 😀 *Awa having breakfast 😀

Fathan, is a determined game maker 🙂

Fathan worked for three straight hours improving this game 🙂

Fathan kept adding things to the game, and tried different ways to do things like displaying scores with two different ways 🙂

A very impressive game 🙂 It has every components required in this kind of game 😉

Sam is a focus fast learner

and the game grew so quickly into a full featured one 🙂

Sam is certainly know how to create interesting games 🙂

Capt. Faris had loads of work and research to do

Faris was given a task to parse data crawled from instagram 🙂

And prepare other captain to catch up with the research 🙂

Aidia 🙂 A bubbly, cheerful and passionate little girl 🙂

Aidia likes to create things in Minecraft

 

Aidia was given a project to create a 2 storied house with elevator 🙂

Aidia always pays attention to little details 🙂

Danen was also working on his game and improving them 🙂 He worked on several games at the same time 🙂

Danen also discussed with Capt. Awa about the game

And produced something like this LOL

Aaaand, we had Capt. Malik back!!!

Malik was going to be help Faris to do Machine Learning research

So Malik has to install Python, TensorFlow and all the dependencies 🙂

We had a students of Business and Management, Telkom University visiting our class and did some interviews, including to the CFO, Capt. Syahna 😀

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – ESPectro Programming & Open Topics – 6 Jan 2018

Hello Saturday class 🙂

We had a newcomer: Firaas 🙂

There was a problem with Firaas’ laptop: it wouldn’t let browser to browse 😀 Capt. Azriel (green shirt) tried to help

Capt. Faris (dark grey ProCodeCG jacket) and Capt. Ain (grey shirt) helped too

It took 3 captains and we still couldn’t figure it out 😀

So we took different laptop and let Firaas started learning basic programming with Minecraft Hour of Code peacefully 🙂

Yep, it’s done! 🙂

and then Blockly Games

Next, CodeCombat 🙂

Capt. Ain helped

Firaas learned for 3 straight hours 🙂

So he deserved some Minecraft time 5-10 mins before the class ended 🙂

Ain learned a new thing: BlocklyCraft 🙂 A drag-and-drop Minecraft Modding programming 🙂

Capt. Faris gave Ain a jump start 🙂

Ain will be given the task to explore BlocklyCraft 🙂

Nafis was assigned to debug his project all over again 😀

then we added buzzer, and it worked 🙂 we still hadn’t time to figure out how to make it beep when it counts 🙂

Cinta was doing another challenge in Python

And for the next session, Cinta wanted to do some Minecraft Modding 🙂

While Azriel had a bad headache LOL

We were trying to figure out this code to create a triangle in Minecraft using BlocklyCraft

We had tried every possible ways

And yet it still didn’t work

And kept giving us false result :((

So we called Faris for help

And he found out that something was wrong with the converter and it kept crashing the server

Apparently the converter from Blockly to JavaScript didn’t work smoothly.

So we assigned another task to Azriel: creating structures with RedStone

And our research, conducted by Capt. Faris had shown lots of progress

now the algorithm can count objects

So we add another data sets

we used bigger data set for higher precision

we need place to run the training because the last time we tried, Google Cloud Engine didn’t work 😦

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Open Topics – 16 Dec 2017

Our open topics class 🙂 Let’s see how many topics do we have today 😉

Capt. Faris, ready to continue our research about TensorFlow etc. 🙂

We’re researching how to recognize certain object in real time with a camera 🙂

Yep it works 😉

It certainly recognizes persons

and cellphone

Nice! Now we are going to add more objects and train it to be able to recognize the new objects 🙂

Ain was busy working on his assignments (while also preparing for kids coding camp because he’s going to be captain on duty ;))

Ain had successfully created a simulation of wheels going up and down slopes 🙂

And a simulation of some round objects falling into some surface

We’re trying to simulate molecule behavior 🙂

Capt. Cinta was so busy catching up with Python programming

She go through all the examples in the handout and ready to be given a new project  🙂

Emma is back 🙂 She is the only one in the class learning C/C++ for AI programming 🙂 She was also given a task to explore Python AI Library as a comparison and just in case we need her to help us with the TensorFlow project 🙂

While J still stuck in finding ways to create a running text in Minecraft

So he created something else instead 🙂

J was still figuring out how to solve the problem with piston limit 🙂

While Azriel started to learn RedStone

Azriel created automatic door with pressure plate and with lever 🙂 There’s so much things to explore with this new skill 🙂

And now we have two web programmers: Nadine

and Nanin 🙂

They both started to learn HTML and create  their own website design 🙂

They look so happy 🙂

These girls type their own code and make some changes to the color, background, size and fonts 🙂

And they help each other, of course 🙂

Vian 🙂 Got some help from Ain to make what’s in his head reality 🙂

Vian always has interesting ideas, and Ain always knows how to implement it 🙂

so they make a great team 🙂

Tyo did lots of research about how to connect Java to Microsoft Excel 🙂

Tyo was still working on the project to generate invoice from from Java 🙂 Awesome work and endurance Tyo 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Open Topics – 22 July 2017

Whoaaa, got lots of things going on in our open topics class yesterday 🙂

Nico was learning GameMaker and tutored by Capt. Azriel and Capt. Faris 🙂 He created Flappy Bird dan Break Out Game 🙂

Dika created a Tilting Game for Android 🙂

There was some errors and Dika was hungry so he decided to eat first 🙂

Capt. Faris, while on duty he also did some research and exploration like usual 🙂

Faris likes challenges 🙂

 

He does CodeFights very often 🙂

Cinta still exploring about what to present on exhibition: hardware or software 🙂

Capt. Malik started to explore C 🙂

We’re planning to teach kids Artificial Intelligence in C 🙂 This is going to be useful for Malik’s ongoing projects 🙂

Malik installed CodeBlocks for C IDE

but it was so laggy we’re going to switch to CodeLite

There was a problem with Rafi’s Spigot Server. It wouldn’t connect to localhost. Will find out 🙂

Vian 🙂 He was in the mood of creating games 🙂

Vian created a totally new games with animation 😉 Capt. Cinta helped too 🙂

Koosha demonstrated how to do things we did with Scriptcraft with command block 🙂

Jundy had many ideas and things to do 🙂

but J was given a task to port what he created in Scriptcraft to command blocks

and so did Gyan 🙂

Tyo knows exactly what he’s going to present on Exhibition and he’s working seriously on it 😉

Capt. Faris helped us with some important syntaxes

And now it worked fine 🙂 Now it’s only finishing 🙂

Emma is a very focus programming. She just won’t stop 🙂

We’re opening a new topic: C programming for AI, for her 🙂

She’s also the only one in class using Linux 😉 So cool 🙂 Emma was given things to do at home because she had finished the handout 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – ESPectro Programming – 1 July 2017

Hello, our kids regular coding class is back 🙂

Capt. Fizhan taking care of logistics (display preparation included! ;))

We had two newcomers today 😉

This is Ruben 🙂 He had just started ESPectro Programming, and decided to use 2 sessions doing this 🙂

Another newcomer is Abdillah 🙂 Abdillah is experienced with robots and have won several competition 🙂 We give him a project to create counter with ultrasonic sensor 🙂

Aaaaanddd there was a big surprise: our little captain is back 🙂 Hello Awa 🙂

He was a little bit shy with his close-cropped haircut 😀

Awa with the Sr. 🙂

Awa Sr. helped Ruben with ESPectro libraries 🙂 Thanks sir! 🙂

Awa tested an ultrasonic sensor with ESPectro

And it worked with the help of Abdillah who finally figured out to find the correct pin out 🙂

We also had Clarence 🙂

With his awesome ideas 🙂

Clarence created a flight shooting simulation and he enhances it using AI

Some kids didn’t come up for some reasons but more will show up next week 🙂
