ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Creating Apps Day #1 – 2 Jan 2017

Hello! Day #1 of Creating Apps 😉

Areli and Mom arrived earlier than us today and the set up the class so neatly, thanks Areli and Mom! 🙂

Let’s introduce our apps programmers in the class today: Indra

We warmed ourself up by doing challenges on Blockly Games so we will be used to the syntax and the nature of Thunkable programming

We have lots of trails of different kind of challenges 🙂

The class went very well, each kid had different ways to deal with the challenge

This is Areli’s long code on Blockly section Turtle, level 7 🙂

A very long one and works very well 🙂

This one is level 10 of Pond section. Capt. Zaki created this code to help Mike finished his 🙂

Lunch time! 🙂

After lunch we started creating our own Android apps! We create the apps using Thunkable and then generate this QR Code to be scanned by any Android phones using the same network and the app will be downloaded right into the phone and ready to use! 😉

One button will show the pic and the other one will hide it 🙂

Ardian and Mike still had trouble with their phone and the simulator so we will definitely try again tomorrow 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 23 July 2016 – Exhibition Prep Part 1

Hello! Today we did some prep for the upcoming ProCodeCG Kids Exhibition 😉 We also did lots of other things today 🙂

Azriel was preparing to present his code for the exhibition

Edo helped Tyo to create Android apps with Thunkable

We had a newcomer: Zahran 😉 His little brother looked interested in what his big bro was doing, like any other ProCodeCG Kids Little Bros 😀

Awa was catching up with the Cyber Security topic he missed last week

We also had Vian back (after quite a long time), he was under Capt. Faris assistance 🙂

And later Azriel said there was something wrong going on with his code and he cancelled the presentation LOL

Clarence and Prudence are the most quiet students in class. They were also keeping up with the Cyber Security thing and the finished it 🙂

Yaaay, our Capt. Reza was back! He came and before had a chance to unpack his back and set up his laptop, he already served the duty of helping other kid 😉 ❤

Faris, while helping Vian, was doing an investigation about the source code of Pokemon Go 😀 He downloaded the .apk and decompile it. And dissected it 😀

We didn’t need the projector today because so many things were going on 😀

Capt. Cinta started a new project we named: InstaKilo 😀 This is a simple apps supposed to look like Instagram where we have photos and people can like and leave comments 🙂

We’re developing it with Thunkable 🙂

Yayyy Rezandra came too with a finished game in GameMaker for exhibition! All we need is adding scores and more features 🙂

We’re all busy!

We’re busy and we discuss with each other to solve things

This is Azriel’s code. Apparently there was some error related to the datatype (the method expect integer while the input parameter was float)

Awa was working so hard he said  he need to faint for a while 😀 😀 😀

Malik came with his code in (pure) Java. A chatting apps.

We just need to fix a few error. The code is written in Java. No visual programming, no drag and drop 😀

Tyo and Edo were working on their code for exhibition

Awa went to the other side of the class to check what other kids were doing 🙂

Prudence had finished her Cyber Security task and she moved on to the next challenge

Reza did come late but he successfully caught up!

One of the most entertaining things in this place is that we always find a pet 😀

And we will name it Thunkable 😀

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() #71 – Kakatu

Finally today! We got the opportunity to have CEO of Kakatu, Muhamad Nur Awaludin (Mumu) to share his recipe of “Building A Great Team to Build A Great Product!”

We had some precious time to discuss about many things before the presentation started 🙂

These two CEO’s exchanging ideas and experiences 🙂

Kakatu, is a digital protection for kids 🙂

Kakatu has been interviewed by lots of media. It draws lots attentions because the product offers a great solution for parents for controlling and protecting their kids from the bad influence of digital media.

But the focus today was not about the product. It was about “Building a superteam, NOT a superman” 🙂

Every startup has its own challenge, including product and market risk. But deep below, under the surface, the biggest problem is the team risk.

The milestone of Kakatu revealed: since January 2014 until now 🙂

January 2014: Kakatu started with less vision 🙂

May 2014, Kakatu was among 2 startups chosen by Indigo Incubator

The CEO was a CMO back then

The problem started when one (or more) person in the team start to think that he’s more important than the others

Things getting worse, on Dec 2014, one founder left Kakatu

so Kakatu was restructured on May 2015

That was when the CEO started to think that he need to share his vision and mission with the whole team.

June – Oct 2015 was like hell for Kakatu because the leader had been so busy doing pitching and competition without taking care of the team.

And when Kakau decided to do one last competition, it won! 🙂

On Dec 2015, Kakatu decided to focus on product. Which was a bad idea too.

Because the right thing to do is to take care of the team!

Jan 2016, Kakatu was invited to Launchpad Accelerator by Google that gave so much impact and insights to Kakatu.

So starting March 2016, CEO said that CEO have to focus on the team than the product. With the “E” stands for empathy, encourage and (think about) everything. What a great philosophy! 😉

And it was time to redefine the vision and goals. He spent more than a week to do one on one sessions with the team. And it worked effectively!

Now Kakatu shared goals between team members, that keep them stick together 🙂

April 2016, Kakatu joined some prestigious events and expand its knowledge

And it became more aware about what to do and what’s not to do 🙂

It starts to develop good culture for the company

And by having a great and solid team, hopefully Kakatu will go far! Not just fast 🙂

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp 10 Aug 2015 – Pleasurr: An App for Pleasure Seekers

Today we have Jume Analyes giving a Pitch Session about Pleasurr – An App for Pleasure Seeker!

This app combines great features of AirBnB and Instagram, to provide personal talents to host unique and meaningful classes or activities.

The app will help people to find pleasure activities with hosts with talents.

This app offers so many features other apps don’t!

Of course with its distinct features, this app is gonna be big, like AirBnB, Gojek, Uber, etc 🙂

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp 3 August 2015 – CyberLabs – UI-UX and CSS to Optimize Your Website Design

Today, Rizky MW – Graphic Designer and Seprian Abdi B – Atom Project Manager from CyberLabs shared about UI – UX and CSS to Optimize Your Website Design.

UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) is very important. It is the key that makes users stays longer and use your apps.

Same kind of products with different designs will have different stories. Ones with good design will get more users.

Most of the audiences are web/apps designers, programmers or developers 🙂

This is the story why CSS is so important for a layout design:

The presentation is brief but we asked many questions! 😉

It is such a great opportunity to learn about this stuff from those who knows to design and generate apps! Thanks for sharing!
