Day 9 already! We finished learning Bootstrap today πŸ™‚

IMG_1967

Everybody was busy improving their website design with Bootstrap, while sharing tips and tricks with another πŸ™‚

IMG_1969

The class is now used to syncing to GitHub. All their works are accessible online so the progress can always be monitored πŸ™‚ And the progress is awesome πŸ™‚

IMG_1970

No one believed that Mums can learn so much about front-end programming in just 15 classes, until they see Coding Mum alumni πŸ™‚ These ones are going to be great front-end developers too!

IMG_1971

Mba Tita assisted Mba Fairuz to catch up with Bootstrap because she missed the class yesterday πŸ™‚

IMG_1968

Standard

Day #8 is time to start to learn Bootstrap πŸ™‚

IMG_1917 IMG_1918

The last time we learned creating forms in JavaScript and passing parameters from the form to another page. Today we start a new topic, and will get back to it if necessary πŸ™‚

IMG_1919

Trainers messy corner πŸ˜€

IMG_1920

After a few weeks learning HTML, CSS and Javascript, learning Bootstrap sometimes make you feel that you have wasted your time creating your own HTML, CSS and Javascript. But believe us it’s the path you have to go through πŸ˜€

IMG_1921

So we installed Bootstrap

IMG_1922

and download the examples

IMG_1923

and created a new folder on our github.io repository to start a new Bootstrap based website πŸ˜‰

IMG_1924

Ok here’s some of the results πŸ˜‰

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() #74 – CyberLabs – 13 Tips to Create Your Own StartUp Company

Standard

Today before we started our 74th codeMeetUp(), weΒ coached one of ProCodeCG Kids about a project πŸ™‚

IMG_7494

His Mom came as the audience of codeMeetUp() and next week she will be in our Coding Mum Class πŸ™‚

IMG_7495

Our guest today is the Founder and CEO of CyberLabs: Ahmad Syarif Hidayatullah πŸ™‚

IMG_7496

He shared all the secrets that make CyberLabs a successful startup company

IMG_7497

It was all started in 2014 with 4 people working in one room
IMG_7498

And the added more crews (total 8) in 2015 and moved to a real office

IMG_7499

Then it grew exponentially to 22 crews! πŸ™‚
IMG_7500

CyberLabs doesn’t have investors. It is surviving by doing bootstrapping.

IMG_7501

What exactlyΒ CyberLabs do to survive and how?
IMG_7502

First, sensing by doing survey

IMG_7504

Then harvesting the result
IMG_7505

Then build a prototype

IMG_7506

To go through validation process. If the product does not pass this phase, you should do all over again (or at least from prototyping phase)
IMG_7507

After the product has gone through validation process, then you can scale up

IMG_7508

The core products of CyberLabs are Atom
IMG_7509

Hydro

IMG_7510

and Molecule
IMG_7511

If you’re going to create your own startup up company you should pick one of these options

IMG_7512

And learn from these successful startup companies
IMG_7513

The startup should be able to multiply itself, has the opportunity to become big, borderless

IMG_7514

Has competitive advantage like Garuda Indonesia vs AirAsia and iPhone vs Samsung
IMG_7515

Garuda Indonesia and iPhone offer premium service (differentiation), AirAsia and Samsung offer low cost (cost leadership)

IMG_7516

The startup should ready to pivot while keep growing. Has advisory board and share holder. And also has SOP.
IMG_7517

Investors prefer a non solo startups. A start up should customer centric, has partnerships with big companies and has disruptive technology.

IMG_7518

And the growth should be like folding paper to the moon: exponentially! πŸ™‚
IMG_7520

The summary:

IMG_7521

It was a great topic! We don’t cover everything in here but we will post the video on ProCodeCG YouTube Channel πŸ™‚
IMG_7524

See you next week πŸ™‚
