ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Open Topics – 23 Sep 2017

Wow, lots of new things and amazing progress today! 🙂 We have several topics and research running 🙂

Ain has made huge progress on GameMaker like always

This is his latest game 🙂

Using a very complex technique

and numerous sprites and objects to make it looks so real 🙂

Ain designed every sprite very carefully and in detail

For the next lesson, Ain started learning creating apps 🙂

Ain’s first app on Android  🙂

Ain will be good at this one too 🙂

Emma had finished her task to create a Tic-Tac-Toe algorithm in C to choose the best move

Yaay, we had a newcomer: Adin

Adin finished the first time very quickly

and got the certicate 🙂

Moved on to CodeCombat and finished it

And then started LightBots 🙂

Capt. Faris is now start working on Instagram crawling 🙂

He’s not only making it work on his laptop

But make it work on a Mac too 😉

Neila wanted to learn some Sketch Up today 🙂

Jundy was there to help, yaaay 🙂 Jundy is very fluent with Sketch Up so he’s the right person to teach Neila 😉

Jundy helped Neila to install

And taught her basic things to start with

Then Neila started to learn GameMaker. Ain taught her some tricks 🙂

Neila made her first game 🙂

and then back to Minecraft 😀

J also helped Azriel to set up Minecraft Server 🙂

Azriel (Ajil) wasn’t captured in the pic but this is him starting to code with JavaScript on Minecraft 😉

Cinta continued her creating apps project 🙂

With more and more complex blocks 🙂

Vian was in the mood of doing some GameMaker today 🙂

And then discussed things with Ain and Jundy

Clarence had a coding project to finish. The task is to read a file and sort the content based on certain field

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Open Topics – 9 Sept 2017

Hello!

This Saturday we had two newcomers 🙂 This one is Al 🙂

Al learned intro to programming with Minecraft Hour of Code 🙂

After he finished task one, Al continued to learn about procedures with LightBot 😉

Then he continued with Blockly Games 🙂 Lots of work today Al, well done 🙂

The second newcomer is Adit 🙂

Adit learned the same things Al did 🙂

Adit was tutored by Capt. Faris 🙂

Finished the first task

and then move on to the next 🙂 Adit seemed so excited 🙂

Emma was still working TicTacToe strategy

The code generated some errors after Emma added a new function

Well, with a code looking like this, we certainly need time to find out the problem 🙂

Aidia started to create games 🙂 With the guide of Capt. Faris 🙂

Aidia already had ideas in mind about the game she was going to create 🙂

Aidia was so excited to create her own sprites 🙂

Finally, Aidia’s first game 🙂

She just couldn’t stop 😉

Ain! He came with lots and LOTS of progress 🙂

From all the tasks and challenges, he created this “Kresek Terbang” game 🙂

The game is so neatly created and detail, using brilliant tricks and techniques

Like usual, Ain never do anything less than excellent 🙂 Look at how many sprites and object he created 😀

Ain also uses a very smart way to put objects in random while the screen moving to the left

Ain gave lots of tricks and idea to Vian 🙂

Vian was going to make what’s in his head happen 🙂

Vian learned lots of new tricks to make his ideas happen 🙂 Well done Vian 🙂

Vian also wanted to create his own logo 😀

So we let him express his creativity for a whiel 😀

Ajil’s game now working just fine 🙂 Last week we had the GameMaker kept hiccuping 😀

Ajil tested all the game he had created

Making sure all is running smoothly 🙂 Next week Ajil will be ready to learn something new 🙂

Tyo had a new idea for a new project 🙂

He wanted to create a temperature converter 🙂

Tyo is a very determined boy. He insisted to write his own code, line per line. He refused to copy paste examples from the internet 🙂  Tyo has a problem with casting this variable to integer

Capt. Faris helped him out 🙂

So this is going to be Tyo’s homework and we’ll see the progress next week 🙂

Capt. Faris showed Capt. BR his ProCodeCG Attendance App with Face Recognition 😉

Faris took my pics last week and let the code learn, and now it recognize my face 🙂

Not yet recognize Capt. BR

Because the system has only learned Faris’ and my face, Capt. BR was identified as Faris 😀 Later Faris took pics of Capt. BR, feed it to the system, and it can recognize Capt. BR too 🙂 Awesome!

Well, when Faris’ laptop goes like this, that means the class is over 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Kids – Open Topics – 2 Sep 2017

ProCodeCG Open Topics Kids Coding Class 🙂

These girls, Echa and Aidia arrived early 🙂

They’re ready to learn more about programming with Minecraft 🙂

Echa and Aidia started to learn Minecraft Designer before they start coding with JavaScript on Spigot Server 🙂

Neila joined the group of Minecraft Modding with Echa and Aidia 🙂

They logged in to the same Spigot Server so they can play and code together 🙂

Capt. Faris (grey jacket) helped the girls with starting up the server and logging in to it 🙂

Ain! So excited to see the progress 🙂

Ain has created an amazing game with nine levels 🙂

The game is very well and carefully designed 🙂

Each levels offers different challenges *that escalates in an unpredictable way 😀

Ain has also created another game, a very detailed game with animations

He creates LOTS of sprites

and each sprite has LOTS of images for animations

This one is totally a detailed and determined kid 🙂

The game is about a watering can that can walk (while animating)

and when it approaches the plant and water it, the plant will grow 🙂

the code of how the plant changing sprite to give growing animation 🙂

And after demoing those two awesome games, Ain created another one

He hasn’t explained how this game work

because after Vian arrived, Ain was told to give ideas to Vian 😉

so they teamed up to create games together 🙂

Emma was still working on the Tic-Tac-Toe project

She was in the process of creating data structure and algorithm to make computer chooses the best possible move

She developed some functions and started to list move possibilities

the SPOTS variable shows the possible positions to move. The algorithm still choose the move closer to the upper left cell. Will be improved after the weighting process has been figured out.

So it will recognize his face and tell the system that he has logged in 🙂

How do you spend your Saturday? This is how we spend ours 🙂

Ain today started to create games with GameMaker 🙂

Cinta was very happy working on her project in Minecraft 🙂

She was also so excited to create an game app that sort out alphabets or colors 🙂

Capt. Faris was working on face recognition in between duty 🙂

Faris had successfully train the code to recognize objects 🙂 We’re going to feed it with different datasets 🙂

Azriel was working on Flappy Bird 🙂

The result 🙂 He was already had created levels but not yet scores 🙂

Will add scores next week 🙂

Emma is the only one learning C Programming in the class 🙂

She was given a sorting ascending and descending homework and she did it 🙂

Rheino and Gyan (on the right) was given a project to explore Minecraft Blockly 🙂 They had downloaded and installed the plugins and ready to test it 🙂

Neila picked up where she left on Minecraft Hour of Code 🙂

Cinta has lots of project in Minecraft 🙂

She has done tedious work in there but refuse to present it on the exhibition 🙂

so we will let Capt. Cinta present her project with ESPectro 😉

We have a newcomer: Ain 🙂 welcome! 🙂

As usual, new students will be given intro to programming

Today Faris learned some C# programming 🙂

Cinta (right) was so busy preparing for our Exhibition next month 🙂

She’s got lots of plan and didn’t really want to share it 😀

Cinta had plans with ESPectro, Thunkable and Minecraft

What we’re allowed to see is what she was doing in Minecraft 🙂

Vian had new ideas for Minecraft and GameMaker

And he likes to discuss with Jundy 🙂 Vian also picked some ideas from Nico’s and Awa’s GameMaker

Nico had finished his break out game today 🙂

Nico had lots of tutors today, including Capt. Awa (whose switched from working on ESPectro to assisting Nico instead :D)

They have more than one balls in the game

Tinkering on Minecraft. Was assigned to do research on how to control Arduino from Minecraft 🙂

And then Koosha started to connect from Minecraft to Arduino

But the documentation was not good, we couldn’t find out how to use /Arduino and /setupserialport command 😦

TLauncher crashed

And we still couldn’t figure out how to make this work. Will try it again

We had a newcomer, Sabrina 🙂 She started to learn Web Programming 🙂

Sabrina learned some HTML today 🙂

She learned to show .html files with browser and also how to inspect websites and see the code 🙂

Emma finished her homework: creating a guessing number game 🙂

And then she continued to the next lesson 🙂

Tyo working hard on his Restaurant Menu 🙂

 

 

Sabrina’s little brother, Azriel is a newcomer too 🙂 He created his very first game in GameMaker today 🙂

Yes, it has different levels, and scoring too 🙂

Ok when Capt. Faris started showing this, it means that we have to wrap up! 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Open Topics – 22 July 2017

Whoaaa, got lots of things going on in our open topics class yesterday 🙂

Nico was learning GameMaker and tutored by Capt. Azriel and Capt. Faris 🙂 He created Flappy Bird dan Break Out Game 🙂

Dika created a Tilting Game for Android 🙂

There was some errors and Dika was hungry so he decided to eat first 🙂

Capt. Faris, while on duty he also did some research and exploration like usual 🙂

Faris likes challenges 🙂

 

He does CodeFights very often 🙂

Cinta still exploring about what to present on exhibition: hardware or software 🙂

Capt. Malik started to explore C 🙂

We’re planning to teach kids Artificial Intelligence in C 🙂 This is going to be useful for Malik’s ongoing projects 🙂

Malik installed CodeBlocks for C IDE

but it was so laggy we’re going to switch to CodeLite

Koosha demonstrated how to do things we did with Scriptcraft with command block 🙂

Jundy had many ideas and things to do 🙂

but J was given a task to port what he created in Scriptcraft to command blocks

and so did Gyan 🙂

Tyo knows exactly what he’s going to present on Exhibition and he’s working seriously on it 😉

And now it worked fine 🙂 Now it’s only finishing 🙂

Emma is a very focus programming. She just won’t stop 🙂

We’re opening a new topic: C programming for AI, for her 🙂

She’s also the only one in class using Linux 😉 So cool 🙂 Emma was given things to do at home because she had finished the handout 🙂
