Hanif is ready to finish the target for today: adding a score that will follow the camera view

we finally found this code and it worked!!!

we added it to our code

and yaaayy now we got the score following the camera view! Next is to add lives 🙂

 

Khalis learns several things today

First he continued the Blockly Games challenge

and then modified his BreakOut Game in GameMaker

And then learned some basic programming with Minecraft Hour of Code

This is good for exercising 🙂

Arsa had some animations challenge to be done today 🙂

The challenge is getting harder each time 😀 This one is only animating two arms

and this one is animating two hands and two legs 🙂

and finally all solved 🙂 Nice work!

 

Daffa accepted the challenge to do some schematic wiring today 🙂

The project is Traffic Light with Pedestrian Button. Daffa do the wiring and Faisal will do the code

The result for the first time 🙂 Not bad at all!

Andra had finished all free levels of CodeCombat

And then h e started a new path with Blockly Games

Time’s up and we had to continue it on the next class. There comes bigger problem: Faisal almost couldn’t decide whether to undo the wiring or keep it that way until the next week 😀 He hated to see untidy stuff 😀

ProCodeCG – Darul Hikam – Coding Class – 15 Feb 2019

Because kids have to start earlier to learn coding and information technology so they can cope with what is awaiting them in the future 😉

 

Isma’ill worked in team with Faisal 🙂

Isma’ill do the coding and Faisal do the wiring

Their project today is to use an LDR sensor to activate a LED. When it is dark then the LED will be activated and it will be off when there is light

We tried every possible ways to improve the game, this time to add score that follows the object

the code. The score is showing now but it still not the way we wanted it 😀 Going to fix it next week 😉

Shaby will learn programming with CodeCombat today

It is like playing game but it is teaching us how to solve challenges with lines of codes

We have to type in the code on the right windows and see how it works on the left window

Capt. Bullit helped Shaby to get through the more difficult levels

How Shaby has gone so far 🙂 Excellent progress 🙂

Captain on Duty: Capt. Bullitt. He’s getting better at teaching and controlling the class now 😉

Khalis continued his Blockly journey

Today is to learn how to bring that bird back to the nest after hunting some worms 🙂

This teaches about direction in angles and x y axis

Surprisingly, Khalis already knows how to modify the script (in HTML/JavaScript) to change the appearence on the browser 🙂

He opened View Page Source and modify the code to see the result on the browser 🙂

Like this one, the “tujuh” word was supposed to be a number 🙂 So this kid already know where to modify 😀 Next time he can start to learn web programming 😉

The next topic is to learn coding with music 🙂

Khalis had to put the right notes to get the right song 🙂

Andra finished all the levels of CodeCombat today 🙂

He is certainly very good in coding and challenges 🙂

Andra can figure out almost all of the challenges given

including those difficult ones

He understands the code line by line 🙂

And kept going on until he finished all the levels

Arsa was also learning with Blockly but he chose the Pond

this teaches about distance and angles and looping 🙂

He also tried Turtle

and went back to the opening puzzle

Before he finally very interested in creating animation 🙂

In this section we are supposed to copy the shapes and make it moves

Once we get the shapes right, we can code it to make animations, like a movie

We also have to put the duration of each move

Very challenging and interesting and Arsa made lots of progress he must be proud of today 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Creating Games – Day #1 🙂

 

We have 10 kids in the class 🙂 This is Dehya

We started with learning some programming syntax with CodeCombat for warming up 🙂

With CodeCombat, kids learn about basic programming logics: sequence, conditionals and looping. This is necessary to help kids with what they’re going to learn with GameMaker 🙂

Gabriel even write down the steps 🙂

And then Capt. Ain gave tutorials on getting started with GameMaker 🙂

 

First we learned how to create sprites 🙂

Vian had learned GameMaker on our regular class, so he worked on his own pace 🙂

While other kids are busy creating their own sprites

We kept working on the break time 😀

And after the sprites, we created objects

to make the sprites move 

After performing Dzuhur we took a break and had lunch

And created the room to put all the sprites in

The room looks like this, each kid has very personal design 🙂

Tomorrow we will start to add more to the game: collision, scoring and moving levels 😉

ProCodeCG Open Topics Class today 🙂

Emma is still working on AI for TicTacToe

She is developing strategy to choose the best move

There are still some bugs and she is going to fix the data structure and algorithm 🙂

Clarence started to learn java and data structure 🙂

He created a java program for monitoring graphics performance

And his project is to parse a file and sort the content

. 

Based on certain number and name

The file, with comma as delimiters

The parsing is done, now before sorting we need to convert the data from integer to string or vice versa

Capt. Faris who is very proficient in Java comes to help

and next is to sort 🙂

Capt. Faris always has ways to solve things 🙂

While Cinta is back to creating apps 🙂

She is creating a To Do List Application

Altair starts to learn Python with CodeCombat 🙂

Al seems to like learning to code this way 🙂

CodeCombat teaches kids logics and basic programming with a tool looking like a game 🙂

There are missions to accomplish and kids have to write codes on the right window 🙂

Altair helps Adit to solve the problems to finish the missions

Adit is very good himself but sometimes he needs a little clue to keep on going

A fun way to learn coding (Python) 😉

Conquering challenge after challenge

Tyo is still working on his temperature measurement application

It is working nicely now, converting both ways from Celcius to Fahrenheit

We probably will improve the GUI to be make it possible to convert to and from more temperature units

Capt. Faris helps Tyo to improve the code

Faris added textfield listener so the code will automatically show the result on the other textbox when the user enter a number on one textbox

 

Sabrina is back to learn web programming 🙂

She has finished one stage

and with the help of Capt. Faris has fixed some errors

In a few weeks Sabrina will be ready to create his own web design with HTML, CSS and Javascript 😉

Azriel learns different topic today

He learns JavaScript with Crunchzilla Monster.

Azriel learns about variables, looping and conditions. Next week Azriel will be learning JavaScript for Minecraft Modding 🙂

While Capt. Faris is working on this research 😀

ProCodeCG – 5 Days Kids Coding Crash Course – Day #2 – 9 Aug 2017

Day #2 🙂 Ghazaska Mom was there all the time doing paperworks while the kids learned more about programming 🙂

Today we learn and practice more about programming logic

so that he will get used to solve problems with sequences, looping, conditionals 🙂

adding more complexity with x and y axis plus direction 🙂

Ghazaska don’t give up easily. But he needs to take a break once in a while, just like other kids usually do: Minecraft / YouTube 🙂

We will learn to create game on Day #3, but before creating our own games, we learn to do coding with games 🙂 CodeCombat 🙂

Today Ghazaska learned some Python language 🙂

He finished enough levels to be able to move to the next lesson, next week 😉

Next week we will create our own games 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Creating Games Day #1 🙂

We were expecting 16 kids but one changed the topic and one didn’t feel well (hoping that she can join us tomorrow)

Setting up and installing before the class started. Capt. Fizhan helped Gerry to connect to the internet and install GameMaker

Capt. Azriel helped Dhita to install GameMaker

We had 6 captains on duty today: Lead Captain Zaki, Captain Azriel, Captain Reza, Captain Syahna, Captain Fizhan and Chief Captain CG 🙂

Registration session was over so Capt. Syahna can read a book 😀

Lots of parents stayed in the class assisting their kids 🙂

We did warming up with CodeCombat 🙂 To teach the kids basic logic of programming 🙂

Kids can see their progress on the big screen so they will be challenged to finish all levels 🙂 After they finished this, they were allowed to start creating games with GameMaker 🙂

Lucky we had lots of captains because lots of problems to be fixed 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Intro to Programming, GameMaker, Java Programming – 24 Sep 2016

Our Intro to Programming, GameMaker and Java Programming Class today 🙂

Vian was still so interested in making games with Game Maker 🙂

Malik accompanied his little brother, Rezvan creating a new game in GameMaker

Tristan continued learning functions with LightBot 🙂

Tyo created a new awesome game in Game Maker but he preferred to code in Java today 🙂

Farrell had finished the first class and while waiting to be picked up he played with Fizhan.

Malik was around and told us about his awesome Arduino clock (on his awesome toolbox) 🙂

Then the CEO of Gravicode, Muhammad Ibnu Fadhil gave us his birthday cake! So nice!

Coding Camp Creating Games Day #1 🙂 The car was fully packed with stuff for camp 😀

Setting up the class and the kids were coming in 🙂 We had 16 kids 😉 Capt. Fizhan is in charge of logistics, security and documentation 🙂

Capt. Cinta was busy creating presentation about Intro to GameMaker before the class started 🙂

Capt. Syahna is in charge of administration and finance 🙂 Kid should do registration to get Camp’s Kit 🙂

While Capt. Cinta was really really serious creating the slides 😀

ProCodeCG Kids Crash Course on Intro to Programming Day 1

Hello! ProCodeCG started a 3 day Crash Course on Intro to Programming for students from EduGlobal School  at Digilife Dago 🙂

We had 5 kids ready to learn intensively in 3 days 🙂

Today we will learn some logics with a problem solving game in Python language 🙂

Each kid should finish all levels before tomorrow we move to the next topic

Today they learn about sequences and looping.

They keep saying “I’m having headache because I’m stuck in this level” but they wouldn’t stop 😀

We learn with CodeCombat today and the most interesting is that the teacher can create classes and add students in!

You can invite the students manually, or send the URL or direct students to the course

Each class will be given Class Code for student to be entered

Then the teacher can see the progress of each student

Even in details 🙂

If you get more licenses, you will be able to enroll more students and the students can learn Computer Science Level 2 and 3 (while without more license they can only learn Computer Science Level 1)

We will learn different things tomorrow!

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class 21 May 2016 – HTML and Javascript

Hello Saturday! Today our coding class was in Digilife Dago 🙂

Yeah we got that big and crisp display againnn 🙂

To prevent kids getting bored, we changed topic today into something loose and more relaxed 🙂

We learned to code games in HTML and JavaScript, just to let kids now that if they create their games that can be run with a browser then it can be played on any devices (with browsers) 🙂

Cinta is going to be one of the Captains on next Coding Camp so today we had a newcomer, Fira and it was such a good opportunity to let Cinta practicing her role as a Captain 🙂

While two little guys in the front, Roni and Faris start coding in HTML and JavaScript

And we got another newcomer: Vian 🙂

He came last week but he didn’t bring any laptops and ProCodeCG spare laptops were all occupied 😦 So he was very excited today to do coding! 🙂

Well, Faris is going to be one of the Captains too, so he was given the task to take care of Roni 🙂

Zaki was given the task to modify this code and elevate this into a more advanced code 🙂

Roni got a little bit bored typing in HTML and JavaScript code so we let him learn to code with Code Combat (a visual programming in Python language) and he liked it!

We always have a great and warm and productive class each time! 😉

We also did some Code Fights too! It was so challenging!!!

Roni reported to his mom what he was doing and showed her an email sent by Code Combat about how far he has gone with the coding 😉 Mom was very proud! 😉
