ProCodeCG – Coding Camp – Robotics – Day #3 – 13 July 2019

Day #3 already of Robotics Coding Camp 🙂 Today we are adding more features to the robot: button to start and stop the robot, LED that will be on when the robot is activated and buzzer to make sound when the robot is scanning the environment 🙂 We also added LCD to show the status of the robot (ready, moving forward, turn to the left, turn to the right and moving backward)

Joe is super excited to upgrade his robot today 😉

ProCodeCG – Yasporbi – Training of Trainer How to Teach Kids Coding – 17 Jan 2019 – Day #3

Day #3: building curriculum to teach kids coding 🙂

We reviewed some reliable references like international journals and books to compare the most suitable curriculum to be applied

We started to write curriculum documents and reports

And did lots of brainstorming to make sure we did it right

These teachers and principals made a great achievement today and they are ready to return to the school bringing the new skills to be implemented there

It is an honour to be able the meet these great educators 🙂

Didn’t forget to bought some tahu bulat to bring back home 😀

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 25 August 2018

This is how we spend our Saturday morning 🙂

Kevin was ready to assembly his robot 🙂

Small bolts and nuts drive Kevin a bit nuts but he has to learn to deal with this 🙂 You can do it dude!

Sul had fixed his printer in Minecraft and ready to make another challenging creations

Sul discussed with Awa on what’s to do next 🙂

And then Sul decided to make a rocket 🙂

Capt. Awa was working on several things: GameMaker and Minecraft *seemed that he wanted to have a break from doing hardware things 😀

Awa is very good at designing structures with mechanical and electronics movement in Minecraft. This one is a prison that has sensors to activate the bars to close when someone is trying to get out

Awa had successfully improved his printer to be more precise 😉

now it prints the exact pattern 🙂

Awa was given another challenge: to create a running text and he made the prototype 🙂 Very impressive!

Capt. Faris continued his Machine Learning project by running some training on a cloud computing server service

Djalu have finished lots of levels of CodeCombat and learned lots of syntax in Python

Djalu solved lots of challenges in CodeCombat. This is good for enhancing his problem solving skill.

We had a newcomer: Faishal 🙂

Faishal is a 10th grader and can finish the tasks very quickly

Faishal, undoubtedly, is a very logic and focus thinker

Next time Faishal will be given more challenges before move on to the next subject

Yogi came with lots of progress: He made a really cool background for his game, and he wrote lots of lines of code to make the object moves smoothly

Fathan was given a new project: to create a Plants vs Zombie game with GameMaker, which he accepted right away 😀

Fathan had created most of the sprites and the object, and also the room! This is exciting 🙂

We will observe the progress next week 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding – Day #3

The last day of ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding 🙂

The kids were divided into teams and had to finish the challenges given 🙂

The challenge was to create these structures with JavaScript to be run on Spigot Server Minecraft:

1. Pyramid with alternate colors
2. Round skyscraper
3. Skyscraper with dancefloor
4. Half-circled stadium
5. Any structures different from the examples

Team 3 contained very young kids so they are allowed to create the structures manually 🙂

ProCodeCG – One Day Teacher – Edu Global School – 3 March 2017

Last Friday, ProCodeCG was invited to Edu Global School as a guest of “One Day Teacher” 🙂

We gave intro to coding, what is coding, why do you have to learn to code 🙂

After a brief intro, we started to install GameMaker on each laptop and getting ready to create our first games 🙂

They created their own games with their own sprites 🙂

Everyone looked excited 😉

Some of them work in groups and share lots of idea

The sprites looked wonderful!

This one has a sprite that can move. As soon as another sprite was added and the good guy eat the bad gut and got some scores, then our first game was done 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Arduino Programming – 4 March 2017

In several weeks we will move on to a more advance development board: Espectro 🙂 While waiting for Espectro mass production, we will use the last few weeks exploring Arduino before we start to connect to cloud via wifi and create IoT stuff 🙂

Like usual, it took some time for kids to come, probably because it is Saturday 🙂

Today we learned to create morse encoder using LED and buzzer 🙂

All is ok as far as we got Capt. Reza on duty 😉

We were trying to add number to be encoded but we had to convert it from integer to char

and apparently it wasn’t that easy 😉

And this is how Reza looks when he’s determined to do something 😀

Hello Raul! Raul was catching up with the task from previous class. His stopwatch with 2 buttons didn’t work

Mama Ren gave some help but still it didn’t work

So Raul switched to the morse encoder and it worked 🙂

Clarence came with loads of progress to brag about 😀

He had several project going on 😀 This one synchronizes time and display it to the TFT

Clarence also make improvements to his stopwatch code, making it more precise with better display design 🙂 He even added a reset function to the single button, along with progress bar display on the TFT to show how long the button has been pressed 🙂

Clarence also created some cool patterns on the TFT, as a preparation to create analog stopwatch 🙂

Cinta was keeping up with the class too, she was working on her stopwatch while also doing her writing project 😉

LOL. But the most important thing is the schematic worked! 🙂

Ren did the schematic quickly 🙂 But the usual uploading error occur again 😀 Only Mama Ren can solve that 😀

Rafi was back in the class yaaaay 🙂

He broke his left wrist but still so excited to learn 🙂 Mama Rafi stood by him all the time to help 🙂

When thing went wrong, Capt. Reza came to help 🙂

Rafi was trying to make his measuring height work and finally it did 😉

We also had Dika back! He jumped straight to the schematic we were doing today, and it worked yaaay 😉

Next week we will start to explore LCD 🙂 Will connect our previous project to LCD and display the result there 😉

 

 

 

 

 

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Open Topics – 28 Jan 2017

We had a newcomer today 🙂 Dika signed up for regular class but he could only make one class today: Apps Programming 🙂 He will start Arduino Programming next week 🙂

Hello Faris 🙂 Faris is very curious about programming language 🙂

This time he wants to learn some C# programming 🙂

Helloo Nanin, the youngest girl in the class 🙂

Nanin was busy creating games in GameMaker 🙂

Capt. Azriel was there too, he’s going to make a game prototype with Thunkable 🙂

Raul had finished his Arduino Programming so he continued with Java Programming 🙂

Helloo Viaaan, what’s new with your game today?

Dika used two laptops because his couldn’t connect to Thunkable

Tyo was working on Pizza Order Form in Java 🙂 Raul helped him to set the environment variables because Tyo has got a new harddisk on his laptop and he’s just had everything got installed.

Yogi had lots of plan in mind to be implemented in his game 🙂

There was some errors but he fixed it 🙂 He is planning to create a Clash of Clans alike game 🙂

While Vian was busy creating more sprites 🙂

Fadhil was the only one in the class working on Web Programming in the class because Abit couldn’t make it today. Fadhil created several simple HTML files and display them on a browser.

OK Tyo finished the task for today and give task to modify it 🙂

Jundy did his homework and finished the order form with food and beverages and price 🙂

Impressive, Jundy 🙂 Homework is to add number of items to the list 🙂

Capt. Syahna helped Nanin with the game 🙂

Yeaaay Dika had successfully created his first Android App 🙂

Capt. Azriel explained about games development to Yogi and his mom 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Arduino Programming – 28 Jan 2017

Hello Saturday! Today is a holiday but we got this room fully packed with kids eager to learn 🙂 *this pic was earlier today before all kids showed up 🙂

Yaaay, we got Capt. Reza getting prepared 🙂

We made a roll-the-dice schematic today 🙂 With 7 LEDs and 1 button, we roll the dice by pressing the button and 6 LEDs will light up in random while 1 LED in the middle tells us when it’s “rolling” 🙂 Pretty fun!

Farrell was still so into his SSTV project but still waiting for the components (needs approval from parents to buy them 😀 ) so he probably will continue his gyroscope project 🙂

Hello Raul, hopefully today the schematic will work just fine! 🙂

Yogi is very serious about his game but wouldn’t tell what game he is working on 😀 He starts to use line of codes in his GameMaker 🙂

Hello Pru! Pru picked up where she left, but too bad, her Android wouldn’t read the QR Code from Thunkable so we couldn’t test her apps.

Raul joined the second class to learn Java Programming 🙂

Capt. Azriel is planning to create another game after the “Telolet Game” 🙂 “Telolet Game” has 3 more subscribers everyday 🙂 Good luck Azriel! We’re planning to discuss about this on Monday after codeMeetUp()

Arduino Kids started to leave the class because it’s time for the open topics class but some of them stayed until the class ends 🙂

Nanin said she wanted to take a break after creating game and she drew comics! 🙂
