We reviewed some reliable references like international journals and books to compare the most suitable curriculum to be applied

IMG_3727

We started to write curriculum documents and reports

IMG_3730

And did lots of brainstorming to make sure we did it right

IMG_3731

These teachers and principals made a great achievement today and they are ready to return to the school bringing the new skills to be implemented there

IMG_3732

IMG_3735

It is an honour to be able the meet these great educators πŸ™‚

IMG_3736

IMG_3737 IMG_3738

Didn’t forget to bought some tahu bulat to bring back home πŸ˜€

IMG_3740

Have a nice and safe journey, until we meet again πŸ™‚ Thank you for everything πŸ™‚

IMG_3422

Kevin was ready to assembly his robot πŸ™‚

IMG_3362

IMG_3370

Small bolts and nuts drive Kevin a bit nuts but he has to learn to deal with this πŸ™‚ You can do it dude!

IMG_3383

Sul had fixed his printer in Minecraft and ready to make another challenging creations

IMG_3363

Sul discussed with Awa on what’s to do next πŸ™‚

IMG_3372

IMG_3388

And then Sul decided to make a rocket πŸ™‚

IMG_3405

Sul’s rocket πŸ™‚

IMG_3412

Capt. Awa was working on several things: GameMaker and Minecraft *seemed that he wanted to have a break from doing hardware things πŸ˜€

IMG_3364

Awa is very good at designing structures with mechanical and electronics movement in Minecraft. This one is a prison that has sensors to activate the bars to close when someone is trying to get out

IMG_3377

IMG_3378

IMG_3379

Awa had successfully improved his printer to be more precise πŸ˜‰

IMG_3391

IMG_3392

now it prints the exact pattern πŸ™‚

IMG_3395

Awa was given another challenge: to create a running text and he made the prototype πŸ™‚ Very impressive!

IMG_3401

Another challenge from Pak Bullit Sr. πŸ˜€

IMG_3408

Capt. Faris continued his Machine Learning project by running some training on a cloud computing server service

IMG_3365

Djalu have finished lots of levels of CodeCombat and learned lots of syntax in Python

IMG_3366

IMG_3368

Djalu solved lots of challenges in CodeCombat. This is good for enhancing his problem solving skill.

IMG_3380

IMG_3396

IMG_3418

We had a newcomer: Faishal πŸ™‚

IMG_3367

Faishal is a 10th grader and can finish the tasks very quickly

IMG_3369

IMG_3376

Faishal, undoubtedly, is a very logic and focus thinker

IMG_3397

IMG_3404

Next time Faishal will be given more challenges before move on to the next subject

IMG_3420

IMG_3416

Fadhlan unboxing the stuff we have just shopped and start to rebuild and improve his robot πŸ™‚

IMG_3371

Fadhlan had to replace some components and add more πŸ˜€

IMG_3374

Fadhlan has his own ways to make things work. A young Tony StarkΒ πŸ˜€

IMG_3382

IMG_3411

Yogi came with lots of progress: He made a really cool background for his game, and he wrote lots of lines of code to make the object moves smoothly

IMG_3386

IMG_3389

IMG_3407

IMG_3415

IMG_3417

Fathan was given a new project: to create a Plants vs Zombie game with GameMaker, which he accepted right away πŸ˜€

IMG_3387

Fathan started to collect the assets

IMG_3398

IMG_3409

Fathan had created most of the sprites and the object, and also the room! This is exciting πŸ™‚

IMG_3410

We will observe the progress next week πŸ™‚

ProCodeCG – One Day Teacher – Edu Global School – 3 March 2017

Standard

Last Friday, ProCodeCG was invited to Edu Global School as a guest of “One Day Teacher” πŸ™‚

IMG_3898

IMG_3883

We gave intro to coding, what is coding, why do you have to learn to code πŸ™‚

IMG_3886

After a brief intro, we started to install GameMaker on each laptop and getting ready to create our first games πŸ™‚

IMG_3887 IMG_3888

IMG_3889 IMG_3890

They created their own games with their own sprites πŸ™‚

IMG_3891

Everyone looked excited πŸ˜‰

IMG_3892

Some of them work in groups and share lots of idea

IMG_3893 IMG_3894

The sprites looked wonderful!

IMG_3895 IMG_3896

IMG_3897

IMG_3899

This one has a sprite that can move. As soon as another sprite was added and the good guy eat the bad gut and got some scores, then our first game was done πŸ™‚

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Arduino Programming – 4 March 2017

Standard

In several weeks we will move on to a more advance development board: Espectro πŸ™‚ While waiting for Espectro mass production, we will use the last few weeks exploring Arduino before we start to connect to cloud via wifi and create IoT stuff πŸ™‚

IMG_3944

Like usual, it took some time for kids to come, probably because it is Saturday πŸ™‚

IMG_3949

IMG_3950

Today we learned to create morse encoder using LED and buzzer πŸ™‚

IMG_3951

All is ok as far as we got Capt. Reza onΒ duty πŸ˜‰

IMG_3952

We were trying to add number to be encoded but we had to convert it from integer to char

IMG_3977

and apparently it wasn’t that easy πŸ˜‰

IMG_3970

And this is how Reza looks when he’s determined to do something πŸ˜€

IMG_3989

Hello Raul! Raul was catching up with the task from previous class. His stopwatch with 2 buttons didn’t work

IMG_3954

Mama Ren gave some help but still it didn’t work

IMG_3965

So RaulΒ switched to the morse encoder and it worked πŸ™‚

IMG_3969

Clarence came with loads of progress to brag about πŸ˜€

IMG_3956

He had several project going on πŸ˜€ This one synchronizes time and display it to the TFT

IMG_3961

Clarence also make improvements to his stopwatch code, making it more precise with better display design πŸ™‚ He even added a reset function to the single button, along with progress bar display on the TFT to show how long the button has been pressed πŸ™‚

IMG_3979

Clarence also created some cool patterns on the TFT, as a preparation to create analog stopwatch πŸ™‚

IMG_3985 2

Cinta was keeping up with the class too, she was working on her stopwatch while also doingΒ her writing project πŸ˜‰

IMG_3957

IMG_3975

Ozan. Always like this when we take his picture πŸ˜€

IMG_3958

LOL. But the most important thing is the schematic worked! πŸ™‚

IMG_3976

Ren did the schematicΒ quickly πŸ™‚ But the usual uploading error occur again πŸ˜€ Only Mama Ren can solve that πŸ˜€

IMG_3962

Rafi was back in the class yaaaay πŸ™‚

IMG_3963

He broke his left wrist but still so excited to learn πŸ™‚ Mama Rafi stood by him all the time to help πŸ™‚

IMG_3964

When thing went wrong, Capt. Reza came to help πŸ™‚

IMG_3983

Rafi was trying to make his measuring height work and finally it did πŸ˜‰

IMG_3986 2

We also had Dika back! He jumped straight to the schematic we were doing today, and it worked yaaay πŸ˜‰

IMG_3966

Next week we will start to explore LCD πŸ™‚ Will connect our previous project to LCD and display the result there πŸ˜‰
