We had CTO of CyberLabs sharing about Single Sign-On yesterday π
Thanks so much for sharing, we had a great discussion and learned lots of things π
Today Founder and CEO of CyberLabs, Ahmad Syarif Hidayatullah shared about how to find co-founder for a start-up π
A profile of young and successful entrepreneur π
How to find the right partner?
Find those whom share the same vision and mission
Find co-founder(s) is not easy. There were fail attempts before CyberLabs. The first was KampoengTI.com
And then the second was Samoedra.com
and finally: CyberLabs π
Started from a very few people
and then growing bigger
and bigger
and bigger! π
What’s the secret behind the success of CyberLabs?)
One of the most important thing is to know the personality of our partners or crews
Are they fall into one of these categories?
This chart is a guide about strength and weaknesses based on the category
Example people in each category
How to motivate and handle each category
The last the most important is to be humble. To tolerate and to understand π
Because it is about building relationship π
Yaaay CyberLabs! π
And this is how we build relationship π
ProCodeCG has grown together with CyberLabs since about 2 years ago. CyberLabs has grown so fast and it becomes one of ProCodeCG start-up role model π
Keep rocking, CyberLabs, thanks so much for sharing π

Glad to meet CyberLabs again, we’re going to collaborate on many things very soon π
Today before we started our 74th codeMeetUp(), weΒ coached one of ProCodeCG Kids about a project π
His Mom came as the audience of codeMeetUp() and next week she will be in our Coding Mum Class π
Our guest today is the Founder and CEO of CyberLabs: Ahmad Syarif Hidayatullah π
He shared all the secrets that make CyberLabs a successful startup company
It was all started in 2014 with 4 people working in one room
And the added more crews (total 8) in 2015 and moved to a real office
Then it grew exponentially to 22 crews! π
CyberLabs doesn’t have investors. It is surviving by doing bootstrapping.
What exactlyΒ CyberLabs do to survive and how?
First, sensing by doing survey
Then build a prototype
To go through validation process. If the product does not pass this phase, you should do all over again (or at least from prototyping phase)
After the product has gone through validation process, then you can scale up
The core products of CyberLabs are Atom
Hydro
If you’re going to create your own startup up company you should pick one of these options
And learn from these successful startup companies
The startup should be able to multiply itself, has the opportunity to become big, borderless
Has competitive advantage like Garuda Indonesia vs AirAsia and iPhone vs Samsung
Garuda Indonesia and iPhone offer premium service (differentiation), AirAsia and Samsung offer low cost (cost leadership)
The startup should ready to pivot while keep growing. Has advisory board and share holder. And also has SOP.
Investors prefer a non solo startups. A start up should customer centric, has partnerships with big companies and has disruptive technology.
And the growth should be like folding paper to the moon: exponentially! π
The summary:
It was a great topic! We don’t cover everything in here but we will post the video on ProCodeCG YouTube Channel π
See you next week π
