We’re back after a long holiday 😉

Lots of things to catch up!

We opened XAMPP again and started learning basic databases and MySQL

happy as always LOL

and serious as always

there will always be different problem to debug on each class 🙂 this one is about activating XAMPP on mac 😀

ProCodeCG Coding Mom Batch 4 – Day #5 – 20 Nov 2017

Day #5 🙂 Today we learned about taking pictures and image editing 🙂

Good pictures are essential for web design, so we learned how to capture and produce nice pics 🙂

Each mom tried to take pics using a DLSR camera

We taught moms about the setting, how lenses work and how to set focus, aperture and exposure

Then we process the pics on the computer

or using mobile apps

Then we learned about typeface and fonts

we learned about typography and how to choose the appropriate typeface

After that, moms had to apply what had been learned to their own websites 🙂

While also learning from CodeAcademy learn more syntaxes and to do some exercises

We will learn JavaScript on the next class 😉

Coding Mom Day #4 🙂

Today we fill in the attendance list on GitHub as usual

And then learned more HTML and CSS

Added some pics and video to the website

And then learned how to create columns with CSS 🙂

Today we learned CSS 🙂

We helped Mom that missed the last class to catch up with GitHub and HTML

Two moms couldn’t make it to the class and we assisted them online 🙂

Coding Mom Batch 4 Day #2 🙂

Morning prep 🙂 We set up a display and a new wifi router to make things more comfortable

Today we learned more about GitHub, making sure every Mom understands all the steps of pull, add, commit and push 😉

We missed one mom today 😦 But we’ll make sure to help her catching up

We started to learn HTML and then upload it to github.io to make it publicly accessible

ProCodeCG Coding Mom Batch 4 – Day #1 – 6 Nov 2017

Coding Mom Bandung is back! This is Batch-4 🙂

There are only 5 moms but it didn’t stop us to start another batch 🙂

These moms had awesome educations backgrounds and unrelated to electrical or informatics or computer engineering 🙂

Today we learned some web concepts and then signed up to GitHub 🙂

The first lesson in GitHub is to create a new file

We did it from GitHub website

and also from GitKraken

We learned to create a repo, clone a repo, create a file, modify a file, pull and push 🙂

We asked every mom to add their names to an attendance list in our repo 🙂

Next class we will continue on GitHub and start to learn HTML 😉

ProCodeCG Coding Mum Batch 3 – Day #14 – 16 Feb 2017

The last day before presentation tomorrow! 🙂 Everybody was so busy finishing up their projects 🙂

But they have done great so far so tomorrow will be ok 😉

We still had this love and hate relationship with GitHub 😀 So tomorrow we will probably will do the presentation from each one’s local 😉

It’s unbelievable that Batch 3 is almost over 🙂

ProCodeCG Coding Mum Batch 3 – Day #9 – 3 Feb 2017

Day 9 already! We finished learning Bootstrap today 🙂

Everybody was busy improving their website design with Bootstrap, while sharing tips and tricks with another 🙂

The class is now used to syncing to GitHub. All their works are accessible online so the progress can always be monitored 🙂 And the progress is awesome 🙂

No one believed that Mums can learn so much about front-end programming in just 15 classes, until they see Coding Mum alumni 🙂 These ones are going to be great front-end developers too!

Mba Tita assisted Mba Fairuz to catch up with Bootstrap because she missed the class yesterday 🙂

ProCodeCG Coding Mum Batch 3 – Day #3 – 20 Jan 2017

Day #3! Bu Ismi came earlier and started working on her HTML + CSS coding. Some CSS selectors didn’t display the format so Mba Tita helped to fix the problem 🙂

These Moms (and future moms) are fast learners!

We had Bu Deassy, Coding Mum Batch 2 Alumni explained to the class about her recent project 🙂

She has just started a new business and encouraging other coding mum fellows to join in 🙂

Bu Deassy is one of Coding Mum resourceful, enthusiastic alumni 🙂 She is involved in an undergoing project and already started a new project 🙂

Then class went back quiet and serious again afterwards 😀

A code would give up and confess each time Mba Tita does debugging 😀

Meanwhile on the backyard, these mums were holding a regular project meeting 🙂 Proud to see the energy and good teamwork 🙂

It’s always nice to see Mums help each other in the class 🙂

The whole class will help if necessary 😉

We’re looking forward to Monday so we can learn more about UI/UX Design, Fonts, Image Editing and JavaScript 🙂

Today we created GitHub account, and learned how to do sync using GitHub Desktop or Git Command Prompt. We also learned some HTML and upload it to github.io.

Will learn about client server concept, programming languages and CSS on the next class

We give homework to be done after each class that should be finished before the next class 🙂 We have handout for reference and we’re ready to help online so Mums do not have to be worried 🙂
