We’re back after a long holiday 😉

Lots of things to catch up!

We opened XAMPP again and started learning basic databases and MySQL

happy as always LOL

and serious as always

there will always be different problem to debug on each class 🙂 this one is about activating XAMPP on mac 😀

ProCodeCG Coding Mom Batch 4 – Day #5 – 20 Nov 2017

Day #5 🙂 Today we learned about taking pictures and image editing 🙂

Good pictures are essential for web design, so we learned how to capture and produce nice pics 🙂

Each mom tried to take pics using a DLSR camera

We taught moms about the setting, how lenses work and how to set focus, aperture and exposure

Then we process the pics on the computer

or using mobile apps

Then we learned about typeface and fonts

we learned about typography and how to choose the appropriate typeface

After that, moms had to apply what had been learned to their own websites 🙂

While also learning from CodeAcademy learn more syntaxes and to do some exercises

We will learn JavaScript on the next class 😉

Coding Mom Batch 4 – Day #3 🙂

Today we learned CSS 🙂

We helped Mom that missed the last class to catch up with GitHub and HTML

Two moms couldn’t make it to the class and we assisted them online 🙂

While the others move on to the next lesson

ProCodeCG Coding Mom Batch 4 – Day #1 – 6 Nov 2017

Coding Mom Bandung is back! This is Batch-4 🙂

There are only 5 moms but it didn’t stop us to start another batch 🙂

These moms had awesome educations backgrounds and unrelated to electrical or informatics or computer engineering 🙂

Today we learned some web concepts and then signed up to GitHub 🙂

The first lesson in GitHub is to create a new file

We did it from GitHub website

and also from GitKraken

We learned to create a repo, clone a repo, create a file, modify a file, pull and push 🙂

We asked every mom to add their names to an attendance list in our repo 🙂

Next class we will continue on GitHub and start to learn HTML 😉

ProCodeCG Coding Mum Batch 2 – Weekdays – Day #2

Day #2! Today we had Coding Mum alumnus visiting the class 🙂 We started to open internship for the alumnus so they can learn more by assisting new coding mums 🙂

This alumni, Mbak Dyah came to see how the class is running, because she’s going to teach the weekend classes 😉

Today we learn about Git, GitHub, GitHub Desktop, GitHub Command Line and GitKraken 😀

GitKraken is a very useful tool to organize and monitor our repository and what’s going on in real time.

Well it took us all day to get the concept of GitHub etc. Glad to have the interns helping the students to catch up 🙂

This one always has something keep him busy 🙂

ProCodeCG Coding Mum Batch 2 – Weekdays – Day 1

Coding Mum Day 1! We have 16 Mums ready to be great front-end programmers 😉

We have 10 Mums in weekday class and 6 Mums in weekend class 🙂

Trainers arrived earlier for setting up things

The first day is always quiet. Mums need some time to know each other and get used to the topic 😀

And we have kids too 😉 ❤

We started to learn about web concepts, tools and references

Mums are closely assisted by the trainer. We make sure every Mum understand every steps 🙂

We do some HTML coding in Brackets too 🙂

So Mums now know some basic HTML tags and how to display it with browser 🙂

Coding Mum Day 14 – 18 May 2016

Day 14! Today is about finishing up for presentation the next day!

We had lots of kids today 🙂 How nice 🙂

Nothing to worry about, most Mums have created awesome web designs

We were just doing some minor revisions, like centering pics, layout arrangements, choosing colors, etc.

This one, cried last Monday because he missed to be in this class, LOL

So fun to see these kids waiting patiently for their moms 😉

We’re sooo gonna miss this class

Some Mums did really well in catching up! They did website make overs!

Some Mums have several awesome designs they couldn’t decide which one to be presented tomorrow 😀

Well, basically they have nothing to worry about

Because they’re doing good and looking good too! 😀

All was well! When something went wrong, trainers always found out ways to fix it!

Coding Mum Day 11 – 9 May 2016

Day 11 😉

We learned to create some form with textfield and javascript 🙂

Like usual, trainers take turns to do the tasks: explaining in the front of the class, assisting the mums, some taking care of Git and taking pictures 🙂

The mums should apply what they learned from Day 9 – 10: javascript variables, looping, conditionals, functions and arrays.

We showed examples on the screen

Day 11 and one of the mum start wearing glasses! 😀

Trainers always make sure that everyone in the class can keep up

We only have 4 sessions left so we gotta work hard!

Not that hard though! We still have fun! 😉

Ok, this one is very serious 🙂

3 hours, never enough 😀

We have applied rules and new procedures to Git and still there are problems 😀

So teaching code to mums is one thing, the other one is to make sure they don’t lose their works 😀

All works should be committed and pushed to Git before the class ends.

Coding Mum Day 10 – 4 May 2016

Day 10! Heavy traffic again and almost everybody came late! 🙂

Today we continued working on Javascript 🙂

Everybody prepared hot tea or coffee to get them ready for hours of coding (which seems to be never enough LOL)

Our little boss here had his own snacks too! 🙂

We learned about global and local variables, loops, functions, string and arrays 🙂

Trainers discussed about naming convention for committing to Git, to make us easier monitoring the pull and push activities.

We missed 3 mums today. Mostly because their family are not feeling well.

Hopefully the mum didn’t make it to the class today can keep up by doing the lessons at home.

So many good energy in the class so we had to make lots of documentation 🙂

Coding Mum Day 9 – 2 May 2015

Yeah, we learned about JavaScript yesterday!

The traffic was heavy, lots of Mums came late. These ones came up early 🙂

Because lots of Mums had problems with committing and syncing to Git
