ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() #92 – Pawitra Studio – Project Management

Standard

Today, Technical Director of Pawitra Studio taught us about Project Management 🙂

IMG_1762

A very useful topic, since we’re currently preparing for a new project 🙂

IMG_1763

Project organization and management

IMG_1764

and budgeting

IMG_1765

We discussed lots of things related to projects including pricing and negotiation techniques 🙂

IMG_1767

We held a project meeting afterwards, hoping that this one will work just fine 🙂

IMG_1768

ProCodeCG Coding Mum is slowly gaining experience and skill 🙂 We’re ready for more projects now 🙂

And look at the audience!

IMG_4572

LOTS of people! 🙂
IMG_4571

We’ve never had this many people ever coming to codeMeetUp() 😀

IMG_4570

Wishing that it can be like this every week 😀

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() #82 – Pawitra Studio – 3D Modeling Tools in Blender

Standard

Aditya A. Pratama, Technical Director of Pawitra Studio taught us some 3D Modeling tools in Blender on our 82nd codeMeetUp() 🙂

These were our first guests 🙂 They are brothers 🙂

IMG_3161

Look at the enthusiasm 🙂

IMG_3162

The rest of the family (the mom and the youngest child in the back, plus that little girl on the left) arrived 🙂
IMG_3163

Ok let’s start!
IMG_3165

One of the audiece had trouble with the Blender
IMG_3166

We were working on it while following the lesson
IMG_3167

Blender has lots of features for 3D modeling

IMG_3168

IMG_3169

IMG_3170

This tool is very useful to do modeling in details

IMG_3172

This is an example of creating an object
IMG_3173

and change the form by dragging the axis

IMG_3174

It can be divided into several parts

IMG_3175

And then can be mirrored based on certain axis
IMG_3176
IMG_3177

Like this, being cut in a half
IMG_3178

Or being cut in a quarter

IMG_3179

We can make models in low resolution

IMG_3180

or high resolution
IMG_3181
IMG_3182

IMG_3183
IMG_3184

Make round corners
IMG_3185

Or create a hole
IMG_3186
IMG_3187

Pad the hole inside

IMG_3188

Or make two holes in front (an probably make an IronMan mask 🙂 )
IMG_3189

Basically we can do anything
IMG_3190

These are modeling examples and some can be used to
IMG_3193
IMG_3194

People create these assets and we can buy and download it
IMG_3195

There are lots of repository for 3D Models

IMG_3196

With various price schemes
IMG_3197
IMG_3199

This mug model was created by Aditia A. Pratama, uploaded with the tutorial

IMG_3200

This skill is very useful can be monetized!

IMG_3201

All of us! Mostly kids! 🙂

IMG_3203

This is a prove that a small person did come to our codeMeetUp() 😉
IMG_3204

Prawitra Studio will share more next time! We’ll let you know! 🙂

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp #72 – Photogrammetry

Standard

Our 72nd codeMeetUp() last Monday was an open workshop by Pawitra Studio about Photogrammetry 🙂 Bintang Senja, CG Supervisor of Pawitra Studio demonstrated how to generate 3D model from pics/photos!

The process of taking pics
photo559633135318444053

We needed at least 50 pics

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() #70 – Intro to Motion Tracking in Blender

Standard

Hello, we’re introducing Pawitra Studio! A rebranding of Kampoong Monster Studio. It has a totally cool new logo!

IMG_1738

Today, Technical Director of Pawitra Studio, Aditia A. Pratama gave a workshop about ‘Intro to Motion Tracking in Blender.”

IMG_1739

The audience today.
IMG_1743

The first step is to convert a video into sequences of pics

IMG_1744

Using FFmpeg
IMG_1745

The command to convert

IMG_1746

Suppose that we’re going to place a pic or video on this black and empty monitor. We should make some marker on each corner.
IMG_1747

And make click them to make Blender recognize them as markers to be tracked

IMG_1749

Once Blender knows all the markers, it will start tracking them. The red and green lines shown on top shows the tracking process
IMG_1750

To enable Blender to precisely map the pic to the surface, we have to define the corners and edges

IMG_1751

Then we should set some things up
IMG_1752

To start putting the pic on the target

IMG_1753

Doing some adjustments
IMG_1754

…and arrangements and we got it!

IMG_1755

Lots of questions asked and we discussed about lots of things

IMG_1756

Including about this awesome “Predator Algorithm” to track objects in real time!

IMG_1758

And there also exists this awesome tools, Neuron, a motion capture technology.
IMG_1759

And the discussion was going on

IMG_1760
IMG_1761

Too bad lots of people missed this interesting workshop!

IMG_1763

These are the lucky ones to learn so much from Pawitra Studio today! 🙂

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() #67 – Fracture and Rigid Body Dynamics

Standard

Wow! We had lots of audience today!

Kampoong Monster Studios, now Prawitra Studio gave an open workshop about Intro to Fracture and Rigid Body Dynamics today 🙂

IMG_9954

Most of the audience are from Cimahi Creative Association (CCA) 🙂

IMG_9955

The Technical Director of Pawitra Studio, Aditia A. Pratama was also there too 🙂
IMG_9956

The trainer was CG Supervisor of Pawitra Studio: Bintang Senja Pratama 🙂

IMG_9957

We’re going to upload the video on our YouTube Channel (after the editing process that might take a while 😀 )
IMG_9959

Here we are just going to show you some of the pictures. The detailed will be in the video 😉

IMG_9960

In workshop today we learned how to create rigid objects with physics force applied to them.
IMG_9961

We can apply some weights, gravity force, fractions etc like the picture below.

IMG_9962

We can also add some bouncing parameter to the objects. In this case we have a ball and a thick surface below it.
IMG_9963

We wanted to make the ball fall right on top of the plane and break it. So we had to make both object rigid body.

IMG_9964

We also had to set parameters for fractures
IMG_9965

Look at those inspired audience! 🙂

IMG_9966

When all set up, when the ball fall on top of the surface, it breaks.
IMG_9967

Or we can add more dramatic fractures like this one

IMG_9968

Even with more objects and different materials
IMG_9971

We can also use particles if we want to make the ball explode from the inside.

IMG_9972

Q & A sessions 🙂
IMG_9973

Yeah we can make it cracked (not break apart into pieces) by putting another surface so close to the top surface.

IMG_9974

Like usual, at the end of the session, each one of us introduce self to the others 🙂
IMG_9975

It was raining heavily and we had to wait until it became a little bit lighter 🙂

IMG_9976

But we didn’t mind because we can still gather and talk while waiting 😉

IMG_9978

See you next week! 😉
