ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding – Day #3

The last day of ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding 🙂

The kids were divided into teams and had to finish the challenges given 🙂

The challenge was to create these structures with JavaScript to be run on Spigot Server Minecraft:

1. Pyramid with alternate colors
2. Round skyscraper
3. Skyscraper with dancefloor
4. Half-circled stadium
5. Any structures different from the examples

Team 3 contained very young kids so they are allowed to create the structures manually 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding – Day #1

Day #1 Minecraft Modding Coding Camp 😉

Don’t get us wrong: we don’t play games. We make programs in a game (Minecraft) with a programming language named JavaScript. We typed in codes to an editor, save it to a server directory and then run it inside the game so we can create awesome structures better and faster than doing it manually 🙂

Kids will learn about patterns, algorithm, looping, structures visually. They learn how to build things from scratch with codes written in JavaScript.

Today we have Warren (the small one) and Edward (the big one)

Tomorrow the kids will learn longer and more difficult codes to generate more complex structures 😉 We don’t play game. We make codes in the game 😉

 

 

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class 9 Jan 2016 – Simple Client Server and Digital Clock in Python

Today we learned some simple network programming 🙂 We created client server connection 🙂

Oh! And we got new pet to become Python’s (the black one) company 🙂 We named it Scratch (the light brown one) 😀

Lots of kids today! Yaayyy 🙂

This is Gaga demonstrating the game he is developing 🙂

Quite difficult game with GameMaker, with lots of assets, objects and scripts inside!

He carefully designs each sprite so they will animate smoothly in the game 🙂

While the others are concentrating on client-server codes

And this one, Faris, type the code while also creating a simple mobile apps with Android Studio!

This is Farrell running his counting-down-to-2017 code 🙂 Lots of things is going on here!

Ryan is typing carefully. Capt. Zaki is finding out how to correct errors and how to compile .py to .exe 🙂

Cinta is also working on her project in Scratch 😀 Looks like everybody can do many things at the same time 😀

But there are several errors occurred on most computers. We’ll figure it out.

Homework for today is creating a chat program in Python, creating password login in Scratch and creating a GUI count-down-to-2017 🙂
