ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() #99 – CyberLabs – How to Find Co-Founder for Your StartUp

Standard

Today Founder and CEO of CyberLabs, Ahmad Syarif Hidayatullah shared about how to find co-founder for a start-up 🙂

IMG_5063

A profile of young and successful entrepreneur 😉

IMG_5064

How to find the right partner?

IMG_5065

Find those whom share the same vision and mission

IMG_5066

Find co-founder(s) is not easy. There were fail attempts before CyberLabs. The first was KampoengTI.com

IMG_5069

And then the second was Samoedra.com

IMG_5067

and finally: CyberLabs 🙂

IMG_5070

Started from a very few people

IMG_5071

and then growing bigger

IMG_5072

and bigger

IMG_5073 2

and bigger! 🙂

IMG_5074

What’s the secret behind the success of CyberLabs?)

IMG_5077

One of the most important thing is to know the personality of our partners or crews

IMG_5078

Are they fall into one of these categories?

IMG_5080

This chart is a guide about strength and weaknesses based on the category

IMG_5083

Example people in each category

IMG_5084

How to motivate and handle each category

IMG_5085

IMG_5086 IMG_5087

IMG_5088 2 IMG_5089 2

The last the most important is to be humble. To tolerate and to understand 🙂

IMG_5090 2

Because it is about building relationship 🙂

IMG_5091

Yaaay CyberLabs! 🙂

IMG_5092

And this is how we build relationship 🙂

IMG_5094

ProCodeCG has grown together with CyberLabs since about 2 years ago. CyberLabs has grown so fast and it becomes one of ProCodeCG start-up role model 🙂

Keep rocking, CyberLabs, thanks so much for sharing 🙂

ProCodeCG at ITENAS Alumni Homecoming and Sharing – 1 Dec 2016

Standard

Yesterday ProCodeCG was invited to share about our journey to lecturers and students of Industrial Engineering Faculty.

IMG_7620

Our founder, Marisa Paryasto, got the Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from ITENAS. So as an alumni she shared the view from outside the campus, what’s going on there and what is expected by the stakeholders.

IMG_7627

There is a wide gap between what is expected by the industry and what a graduate can offer. ProCodeCG was founded to fill in the gap. It provides education for kids to make sure that in the future we will have enough qualified programmers and IT experts, and education for moms so that they can have programming skills mostly needed by the industry. IT and programming skills will help mom to raise their kids in this information technology era.

IMG_7622

The audience 🙂 They were pretty shocked that kids and moms can do programming and get things done 🙂

IMG_7625

We also gave some suggestions for the institution, lecturers and students to be able to cope with the challenges 🙂 Hope that it was inspiring enough 🙂

ProCodeCG Sharing to Taruna Bakti Grade 7 Students

Standard

Today ProCodeCG shared about “What Does A Coder/Programmer Do” to Grade 7 Students of Taruna Bakti at Digilife Dago 🙂

IMG_7036

There were about 34 kids so this room will be packed up! 😉

IMG_7037

They arrived and made registration

IMG_7038

Some of them very curious about programming, they had some experience with robotics and Arduino. But most of them know programming or “programming” from Minecraft 😀

IMG_7039

So glad we had a super big screen so everybody can see what being displayed 🙂

IMG_7040

This how they looked when they were watching a video about “coding is magic. it’s some kind of superpower.” 😀

IMG_7041

And at the end of the event, there were some challenges, and whoever can finish one level of code, will be given a gift from Telkomsel T-Cash and Simpati 🙂

IMG_7042

They had to code in front of their classmates (and being helped and cheered up by others of course 🙂 )

IMG_7043

And this is the winners! 😉 ❤

IMG_7047

Hoping to see most of them on upcoming ProCodeCG Coding Camp! 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Programming Class 19 Dec 2015 – Creating Tutorials

Standard

Today is tutorial creating day! We have planned that today we’re going to make video tutorials to be uploaded to ProCodeCG Channel on YouTube! 🙂
IMG_2066

Every kids are getting ready with their laptops, installing software for screen recording.

IMG_2067

As soon as the software got installed, Azriel creates a tutorial about Virus right away! His English is so fluent! But he has to re-record the tutorial because other kids won’t stop yelling on the background asking him to run the virus on his computer to prove what he explains in the tutorial, LOL!

IMG_2068

The next recording, everybody keeps quiet 😀

IMG_2069

Faris is the one who finds out which screen recording most efficient for us. He helps other students to use it and he also creates his own Photoshop tutorial 😉

IMG_2070

Gaga is preparing a tutorial about Minecraft! Everybody is so excited about this 🙂

IMG_2071

Cinta needs some separated and quiet place to do hers, with Capt. Syahna assistance.

IMG_2072

Capt. Fizhan is observing the process, while also suggesting that he can fix and edit the tutorial so Cinta should not be worried about making mistakes! (notice that she makes some notes on a book to remind her what to say) 🙂

IMG_2073

Cinta creates 2 tutorials in the class today, and creates 5 more after the class!!!

IMG_2075

While in the other room kids are working together making things work.

IMG_2074

Ardi also creates a tutorial on Minecraft, and this is how he plays around with lil bro and mom after the class LOL LOL (poor mom, are you okay?)

IMG_2079

We are going to upload the tutorial videos on our channel very soon! 🙂

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() #45 – Hair Styling and Rendering in Blender

Standard

Yes, this is the 45th ProCodeCG codeMeetUp(), yayyy 🙂

Yesterday Kampoong Monster Studio gave a workshop on Hair Styling and Rendering with Blender 🙂 The man in charge to deliver the topic is Bintang Senja – CG Supervisor of Kampoong Monster Studio 🙂

IMG_9641

Hair effects can be done in to ways: with polygon and with particle system. In polygon, the hair is created from mesh by adjusting alpha to make it look more real. This technique is faster. With particle system (it can also be used for grass, explosion, fog, smoke, etc), the object (in this case hair) can be given effects, can be dynamic, can be interactive (some force field can be applied, like wind, etc.). But particle hair requires more computing power and relatively slow.

We used particle hair in this workshop 🙂

IMG_9642

The audience. Small but powerful 😉

IMG_9643

So the workshop began:

IMG_9644

And these are some screenshots of the process. From peeling of the scalp, planting/generating some hair, combing and cutting the hair, applying colors and background, putting and arranging lighting to rendering 🙂

ProCodeCG codeMeetUp() 19 Oct 2015 – Simulakrum: “Our Lessons Learned from Motion Picture”

Standard

We were very lucky yesterday to have a great and talented filmmaker, Shendi Abdi M from Simulakrum Media Works share about lessons learned from Motion Picture.

IMG_8481

Simulakrum is a visual communication design studio. Its products focused on audio-visual and multimedia contents, including film, video, motion graphics, visual effects and interactive media.

Simulakrum definition is a copy, imitation or representation of life reality perceived by people. People then make assumptions that the copy, imitation and representation is the true life reality. This definition is being used so that Simulakrum Studio products as the copy, imitation and imitation of life reality can be accepted and trusted by the people and will give the expected impacts.

IMG_8486

The talk was very inspiring because every word and meaning was clearly defined. There were also examples for each definition.

IMG_8495

IMG_8487

There were lots of new insights and knowledge about film/motion picture/ movie most people haven’t heard before.

IMG_8488

The topic covers many details about filmmaking. With some of movie scenes for examples.

IMG_8489

We bet lots of people want to know all these interesting stuffs about movies.

IMG_8496

And we also bet that not many people notice that we have lots of talented people and company in filmmaking!

IMG_8497

Simulakrum is one of those talented and qualified company on its field. It knows what to do.

IMG_8498

It knows what makes a film good or bad.

IMG_8499
