ProCodeCG at C0&Co DevCember2016 – 17 Dec 2016

ProCodeCG was taking part in this awesome developer meetup day πŸ™‚ As listedΒ on the poster, our founder shared about Intro to Python for Encryption and Decryption.

This event adopt BarCamp concept where there are many stages with different speakers deliveringΒ different topics at the same time. ProCodeCG was on Bar 3, the session is from 13:00 – 13:45

Before the session started, Kang Helmi from DyCodeX gave an opening speech

Followed by a welcome speech from the owner of Co&Co Space

He explained about Co&Co and very welcome about anyone who’s interested making collaboration or signing up for membership. They are giving special price and discount πŸ™‚

DyCodeX gave away a cool developer t-shirt to one of the audience πŸ˜‰

The lobby

Fully packed with people

This event really drew lots of people to come πŸ™‚

ProCodeCG Team πŸ™‚

We had our cool ProCodeCG Kids Captain there too πŸ™‚ He helped us explaining about ProCodeCG πŸ™‚

Since there was an audience asked “what is ProCodeCG?” we showed some videos about ProCodeCG Kids and ProCodeCG Coding Mum πŸ™‚

And then we learned some Python πŸ™‚

The audience

We learned some encryption, decryption, GUI and virus πŸ™‚ This one is an example of a brute force of a caesar cipher. Can you spot devcember2016 there? πŸ˜‰

After us, DyCodeX will share about Intro to ESPectro πŸ™‚

Mas Adit and Mba Ria were getting ready πŸ™‚

So sorry we had to leave and couldn’t join the other sessions so the report must end here :((

DevCember will be an annual event, so see you next year! So proud to be part of this cool event! πŸ™‚

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Python Programming – Day #2

Today we learn about cryptography πŸ˜‰

We started with substitution cipher πŸ™‚

Bildschirmfoto 2016-06-28 um 9.48.59 AM

We did encryption and decryption, and brute force too πŸ˜‰

Bildschirmfoto 2016-06-28 um 9.49.14 AM

We modified the code and added some while loop

Bildschirmfoto 2016-06-28 um 10.38.15 AM

And there was a quiz to be solved πŸ˜€

Bildschirmfoto 2016-06-28 um 11.09.52 AM

Next was Vigenere Cipher, a bit harder but we did it πŸ˜€
Bildschirmfoto 2016-06-28 um 11.41.36 AM

We did encryption and decryption in Vigenere, and modify it from uppercase to lowercase

Bildschirmfoto 2016-06-28 um 1.15.38 PM

We read several references too to make sure we understand how it works πŸ˜‰

ProCodeCG Kids don’t just code, they read books too πŸ˜‰

This is the scene in the morning πŸ™‚ We prepare the class together, and this is the values being taught in ProCodeCG: teamwork and sharing πŸ™‚

Capt. Zaki explained the brute force process

Our Lead Captain is very reliable πŸ™‚

Capt. Azriel working on modifying the encryption code too πŸ™‚

This one is too tired LOL

But we will be alive and kicking again tomorrow to learn how to make virus and antivirus in Python tomorrow! πŸ™‚

ProCodeCG Kids Programming Class 5 Sept 2015 – More Encryption with Vigenere Cipher

Today we learn more about encryption!

We continued on Caesar Cipher encryption and decryption

FullSizeRender 4

we learned how to do brute force too πŸ˜‰

Kids were given this ciphertext to be decrypted with brute force.

And they solved it! πŸ˜‰ (with some scratching head πŸ˜€ )

Kids were given some examples of virus too. Just to let them know what can be done with programming. With warnings that they should use their knowledge for doing only good things. If they want to create their own virus they better make good ones πŸ˜‰

Kids were also being updated about Ransomware. And how they should not ever take advantage from other people in a bad way like creating virus so they can make people pay for the anti-virus or encrypting files of other people and make them pay to get it decrypted.

Aaand, today we learned a more difficult encryption. Vigenere! Harder to attack πŸ™‚

And this is some sample of the encryption.

Next week we will do some coding in Minecraft! To give the kids some break after learning hard the last 4 weeks πŸ˜€
