Day #3 🙂

Hello Maryam

Sulaiman (this one becomes more cheerful each day 😀 )

and Akal 🙂

Akal finally finished the code from yesterday, and successfully created a big triangle 🙂

and then a coloured triangle 😉

a big rainbow triangle 🙂

While Sulaiman finally fixed his calculator 🙂 Now it works just fine 😉

Sulaiman had also finished the changing colors button app

And the xylophone app 🙂

He really likes it 🙂

Maryam moved on to more difficult task: creating a to do list app 🙂

it took some effort to make it work

she even had to compare the code line by line to the example

And yes it works nicely 🙂

Maryam also created a write to and read from file app, but still had error retrieving the data

Sulaiman finished the alarm app 😉

Time for lunch! 🙂

And time for Dzuhur prayer 🙂 They were deciding who to be the imam 🙂

Ok because Capt. Faris refused to be imam, Capt. Fizhan it was 😀 He arranged the ma’mum and Akal voluntarily offer himself to do iqamat 🙂

Back to work! Maryam’s and Sulaiman’s Android phone didn’t have gyro so the Tilting Game didn’t work 😀

But it worked using Maryam and Sulaiman mom and dad’s 😀

The just couldn’t stop playing 😀

While Akal started to learn Minecraft Blockly, because he started to become so whiny about typing the code, so we had to change strategy and do it with drag and drop programming 😀

Akal asked some time for drawing to escape typing the code 😀

but once he see the drag and drop worked, he started to become interested again 😀

Sulaiman helped Akal to create the blocks (since Sulaiman has done it more in 3 days with Thunkable :D)

Yaaay we can do Minecraft Modding with Blockly, JavaScript or XML! So cool! 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding and Creating Apps – Day #2 – 29 Dec 2017

Day #2!

These three little ones learning are now good friends 🙂 They learn together and looked happier than yesterday 🙂

 

Akal continued typing the code from yesterday 🙂

we’re building a skyscraper with code 😉

we build 100 floors with just one line of command 🙂

The next is to learn how to do iteration with the simplest thing: blocks 😉

and make 100 stacks of blocks 😀

Now Akal is working on a code to create a triangle 🙂 Then we can start adding more structures and complexities from there 😉

Maryam

and Sulaiman made lots of progress today 🙂

They created odd and even number app

and then suddenly they stopped working and started to play 😀

Well ok let’s have a snacktime then 😀

And then back to work

but Sulaiman’s calculator didn’t work nicely yet so we’re going to work on it tomorrow 😉

Today he started to type in JavaScript code to Minecraft and build structures 🙂

Vian wanted to learned some Minecraft Modding today instead of GameMaker

Vian got backup-ed by Capt. Ain and Capt. Faris 🙂

Capt. Faris is really busy working on several projects 🙂

exploring Google Cloud Platform and then put our research stuff in there

Faris also helped Cinta looking for references related to Cinta’s new project 😉

Our data is uploading and we’re going to run some Tensorflow and crawling data up there 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding and Creating Apps – Day #1 – 28 Dec 2017

Today we have 2 topics for Coding Camp: Minecraft Modding and Creating Apps 🙂

We have Akal

Sulaiman

and Maryam 🙂

Akal is learning Minecraft Modding

He learned programming basic logics with Minecraft Hour of Code

And then after installing Spigot server and Minecraft he was ready to code JavaScript in Minecraft 🙂

Akal now can create lots of structure in Minecraft by code, not manually 😉

Akal learned to type the code and run it to see the result 🙂 He hasn’t finished typing it yet, we will continue tomorrow 🙂

But he learned that with codes, any structures with pattern is possible 🙂

While Sulaiman and Maryam learned basic programming logics with Blockly Games 🙂

Sulaiman and Maryam first app is to create button to display an image

and then add another button to make it dissapear

Then back to work 🙂

The next app is a login app 🙂

We already have lots of plans to do tomorrow 🙂 Will be reporting! 🙂

Day #3 🙂 Faiz were so ready to create more apps today 🙂

Two computers, one mobile phone (for listening music) and piles of papers 😀 Let’s see how many apps Faiz produced today 😉

An app to read and write something to a file 🙂

An app to show your location

An app to convert speech to text 🙂

The list of apps Faiz had learnt for the last 3 days 😉 There are more than this 🙂

And finally, Faiz deserved to get a certificate on Creating Apps 🙂

We continued exercising on creating structures in Minecraft with codes developed in JavaScript

It is amazing that the kids were not complaining about typing in codes 🙂

We learned to create a bridge

by modifying the tunnel code 🙂

Then we create stairs

by modifying the triangle code 🙂

These kids worked on this for 5 hours and they looked like they would never get enough of it 😀

The last assignments is to create codes to count when a player break or place a block 🙂

While the moms and the sisters were around doing many things, from the beginning til the end 🙂

Yaaay, we finally finished the camp and everybody got a certificate! 🙂

Day #2 of Creating Apps Coding Camp 🙂

Faiz is still as productive as yesterday 🙂

He continued the Calculator Apps and made it work

Day #2 of Minecraft Moding Coding Camp 🙂

We had Gana

and Ammar 🙂

And captain on duty: Capt. Ain

We started to code with Javascript to create simple structures like blocks stacks 🙂

Then moved to more complex structures like triangle

iterated triangle. The possibility is endless 😀

Then we started to create skyscraper again

Then skyscraper with rainbow window glass

and with rainbow floors 🙂

And then we also tried some interesting structures like igloo

and we’re going to create bridges, tunnel, and some games tomorrow 🙂

Day #1 of Kids Coding Camp – Creating Apps 🙂

We only have Faiz in class but don’t worry it won’t be less fun! 🙂

Faiz had to go through Blockly Games to learn some basic programming logics 🙂

Besides, Blockly Games has the drag and drop style similar as Thunkable 🙂

After Faiz got enough of warming up, this is the Faiz’s first app 🙂

The second app is a login app

this is what happens when you put the wrong user or password

When you enter the correct username and password, it will open the next screen (this one is still blank :))

Apps number three: an app that tells you whether a number is odd or even 🙂

App number 4: a guessing number app 🙂 This is the code

The result 🙂

It will show how many attempts until the player finally guess the correct number 🙂

The app will tell whether the guess is too small or too big number

Finally, after 11 attempts 🙂

Faiz is working on a Calculator App but he will continue it tomorrow 😉 See you soon Faiz 🙂

Day #1 of Kids Coding Camp – Minecraft Modding 🙂

Let us introduce the the kids joining the class 🙂 This is Kiran with her little sister Diara

Ammar

and Gana 🙂

And captain on duty: Capt. Ain 🙂

We warm ourselves up by doing Minecraft Hour of Code, while waiting the installation of the latest Java version and Minecraft launcher finished

 

Then after we finished two series of Minecraft Hour of Code, we fired up our Spigot Server and started JavaScript coding in Minecraft 😉

We created structures

and develop our own codes 🙂

Our target is to create a rainbow building 😉 This one still has gaps in between the floors 😀 Going to fix it tomorrow 😉

This is how Gina, Ammar’s little sister spent the time while waiting 🙂

They just wouldn’t go home 😀 This was too fun 🙂
