Day #3 🙂
Today we’re downloading Game Maker Studio 2
We take a look at the options we have when we’re ready to export the game to .apk and upload it to PlayStore
Writing down the plan
and the most important thing: developing the game 🙂
We decide to create the most simple game first
We got the plan and the skill not it’s time for the hard work 🙂

We started preparing ourselves for our annual ProCodeCG Kids Exhibition 2018 🙂
Sam already knew what to present for the exhibition
Sam has been developing games in GameMaker for weeks
He becomes so good at it, and keep enhancing his techniques by watching lots of tutorials and practice them
Sam is very detail about everything, including about the sprites

this smooth and sleek game is what Sam will present on the exhibition 😉
Sulaiman learned new things about Redstone in Minecraft today 🙂

Capt. Awa brought all the gears for exhibition preparation
Capt. Awa was having problem with power distribution because those two motors consumed lots of power
The problem was the power was not enough so it wasn’t distributed evenly. Only one motor worked
We got a newcomer, Salman
Salman is Edo’s friend 🙂
Edo and Salman will collaborate to create a website to be presented on the exhibition
These guys had learned HTML today, now they are ready to add real contents to the website. Next thing is to design and make it interactive using CSS and JavaScript 😉
Nadine learned to code in Python very quickly
Nadine learned looping, conditionals and functions today. She created a code to print lots of string or number, a code to check whether a number is odd or even, a code to enter username and password, a code to create a simple calculator an many more 🙂
Vian created a very sophisticated library that has walls that can slides automatically. He’s an expert in Redstone and command block! 🙂
Yogi hasn’t been asked to join the exhibition because we want to let him explore things for a while 🙂

Ain was busy working on his assignments (while also preparing for kids coding camp because he’s going to be captain on duty ;))
Ain had successfully created a simulation of wheels going up and down slopes 🙂
And a simulation of some round objects falling into some surface

She go through all the examples in the handout and ready to be given a new project 🙂
Emma is back 🙂 She is the only one in the class learning C/C++ for AI programming 🙂 She was also given a task to explore Python AI Library as a comparison and just in case we need her to help us with the TensorFlow project 🙂
While J still stuck in finding ways to create a running text in Minecraft
So he created something else instead 🙂
J was still figuring out how to solve the problem with piston limit 🙂
While Azriel started to learn RedStone
Azriel created automatic door with pressure plate and with lever 🙂 There’s so much things to explore with this new skill 🙂
And now we have two web programmers: Nadine
and Nanin 🙂
They both started to learn HTML and create their own website design 🙂
They look so happy 🙂
These girls type their own code and make some changes to the color, background, size and fonts 🙂
And they help each other, of course 🙂
Vian 🙂 Got some help from Ain to make what’s in his head reality 🙂
Vian always has interesting ideas, and Ain always knows how to implement it 🙂
so they make a great team 🙂

Tyo did lots of research about how to connect Java to Microsoft Excel 🙂

Altair had just attended one session of GameMaker and this is the progress when he came back to the next class 🙂
He added more features to the game
plus lots of sprites, objects and background and rooms 🙂
He added levels with different challenges on every levels 😉
And he started to create the next game: Racing Car 🙂
Capt. Azriel helped Al to resize the background
Altair’s little brother joined in 😀
He wanted to play and typing something on the laptop and Altair was very busy keeping him away from the laptop 😀
Ain had created lots of apps with Thunkable but his laptop has problems with connecting to internet so while he waited he opened GameMaker and improved his game 🙂
We used different laptop to log in to Ain’s Thunkable account and these are some of what Ain’s had created: guessing odd or even number app

Capt. Faris was still busy with his research: was given a new task with TensorFlow 😉
Clarence was back! This time he wanted to install C++ compiler and started coding in C++

Clarence apparently had so many things in his head to be coded in C++ 🙂
And we had a newcomer: Brillian 🙂
Brillian had to go through Intro to Programming
First, he had to finished Minecraft Hour of Code
and got the certificate
and then he learned about functions with LightBot
And more logics with some Python using CodeCombat 🙂 In the next class Brillian will learn more with Blockly Games or go straight to game making 🙂
Nanin! Forgot to save her work :(( So she had to started all over againnnn NOOOOO
Nanin had to browse through the download folder to find all the pictures of the animals
and recreated everything
And then Nanin and Mom discussed the project to be presented to the next exhibition
She looked so excited 🙂 We’ll see what app Nanin will create next week 🙂
Vian is getting better each week 🙂
He created more advanced games and keep adding more features

And the best way to test a game is by playing it, together 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Coding Camp – Creating Games Day #1 🙂
We were expecting 16 kids but one changed the topic and one didn’t feel well (hoping that she can join us tomorrow)
Setting up and installing before the class started. Capt. Fizhan helped Gerry to connect to the internet and install GameMaker
Capt. Azriel helped Dhita to install GameMaker
We had 6 captains on duty today: Lead Captain Zaki, Captain Azriel, Captain Reza, Captain Syahna, Captain Fizhan and Chief Captain CG 🙂
Registration session was over so Capt. Syahna can read a book 😀
Lots of parents stayed in the class assisting their kids 🙂
We did warming up with CodeCombat 🙂 To teach the kids basic logic of programming 🙂
Kids can see their progress on the big screen so they will be challenged to finish all levels 🙂 After they finished this, they were allowed to start creating games with GameMaker 🙂
Lucky we had lots of captains because lots of problems to be fixed 🙂

This is the report of our Intro to Programming, GameMaker, Java Programming and Apps Programming Class yesterday 🙂
Prudence was ready to explore the To-Do-List Application with Thunkable 🙂
Capt. Cinta was also going to do the Apps Programming with Thunkable, while assisting Nanin finishing her tasks 🙂
ProCodeCG Captains are smart, patient, dedicated and reliable. Like this one 🙂
Meanwhile, the other Captain, Capt. Faris had already added more features to his Java game, it allows you to shop things!
Vian executed his idea about creating a horror game. It works like zombie virus, anyone being touch by this cute red rounded man will be turned into a ghost 🙂

Robbie was as excited as last week 🙂 He was working on Blockly Games all over again 🙂
While Rafi was struggling with lagged and slow LightBot sites 🙂
Azriel decided to switch from Java to Python. Then he planned to create a game, so he use GameMaker and discuss it with Vian who is also creating game with GameMaker.
They decide not to collaborate and will create their own games 😀
Robbie needed help and Capt. Cinta came for rescue 😉
Areli had improved his game to the next level! He had successfully added scores 😉

The game has smooth transitions and control because Azriel type in the code not just drag and dropping
While doing the job as a captain, Capt. Cinta still managed to finished the To-Do Apps 🙂
We had a new kid registering to the class: Afdhan. Areli let Afdhan played the game he created 🙂
While Faris was busy creating code in Java to read from and write to a file 🙂 Amazing 🙂
People didn’t believe kids can code in Java until ProCodeCG found these kids 😉
Yogi came late, and he picked up where he left right away
Yogi had problem with changing sprite, and with the help of Capt. Cinta, the problem was solved 😉
Rafi is going to start his GameMaker lesson next week 🙂
