ProCodeCG Kids Private Coding Class – Basic Electronics – 10 Feb 2020

Today Tyo is going to continue the project

we’re going to integrate a bulb and relay to the previous schematic

we’re going to cut the cable

and then connect it to relay and Arduino

we did check the connector and re-solder it

ready for testing

now connect the bulb and relay to this circuit

modifying the code and all works fine: the bulb will goes on when we wave to the ultrasonic sensor and off when we wave again 🙂

we’re going to add timer and LCD in the next class! 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 8 Feb 2020

One of the best day of the week is Saturday 🙂 Ours is even better because it is our time for coding 😉

Clive had finished the Flappy Bird Game and now is given a new challenge to create Agario Game

it requires more coding to make the game runs smootly

today Clive had finished the main features of the game, next week we will gradually add more features to the game

Techa is improving the BreakOut Game

by adding more levels

and even tricked the game by creating a very long paddle LOL

or add several paddles in the same room

Al will do a new machine learning project today 😉

Al is developing a hoax detector

has to prepare a project for the upcoming exhibition

we need to shop for more components

so the player will have limited number of bullet and should reload to be able to keep shooting the enemy

Saturday is the day when ProCodeCG Kids gathers and make awesome progress 🙂

Syathir finished up his maze game today

and started to create a shooting game

Aidia got tons of work to do with her Color Sorting Project today 🙂

She had to test sensor readings for EACH color and code it

Lots of progress today 🙂

Rifqi lost his game files and decided to create the game all over again

Rifqi is getting better at creating games, he finished the maze game in just 90 mins 🙂

Khalis create some games while also doing some coding challenges 🙂

Hanif’s project today is to control a micro servo 🙂

Later Hanif will use the micro servo for other projects 😉

Darrell is so excited because today he’s going to make a shooting game 😉

he set up the path for the enemies

is still dealing with his complex maze game

where he has huge amount of objects (that later he regrets because it makes debugging so much harder 😀 )

but Acha’s game is awesome!

it is very well designed, has good looking assets and gives us lots of surprise too 🙂

Our class today 🙂 Lots of progress and excitement going on 🙂

Darrell

now can add scores to the game

and add levels so when the player has reached certain score, the game will move to the next level 🙂

Darrel is very excited to improve the game 🙂 He seems to be happy playing his own game 🙂

Dipta is back 🙂

today Dipta is doing a challenge to learn more about basic programming

And so does Maliq 🙂

drag and drop programming is very effective to teach kids basic programming logics

Rifqi had finished the LightBot challenge and now he’s speeding up doing the next challenge

Rifqi has finished all the maze challenges

and started the bird challenge 🙂

Hanif’s project for today is ultrasonic with buzzer

and as soon as it’s done, next is to add LEDs

The buzzer will active in certain frequency when it detects object in certain distance, and certain LEDs will light up too 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 7 Sept 2019

Time to be productive and make progress 😉 Every kids in our regular class have their own target and we make sure that they are making progress each week 😉

Ara is still preparing for upcoming Young Scientist Competition. He has prepared an extended abstract, a poster and of course has also finished the code

what Ara should be doing is to test the steps and try different wifi to get empirical data and measurement

Today Ara is trying to be an Evil Twin, to see how difficult it is to set up the attack

Aidia is starting a new project: hand gesture recognition 😉

the code is very long, so Aidia took several breaks while typing it. And not yet finished, so we’re going to finish it next week

Aidia said she wanted to do the schematic first

The schematic is ready 🙂 After the code is finished, we’re going to test it 😉

Fadhlan, with SNAPBOT I and SNAPBOT II 😉

Fadhlan is developing SNAPBOT II with basic configurations before we add an optical mouse for drawing the map

but before he started, he helped Aidia to solder the gesture sensor 😉 Thanks so much, buddy 🙂

Fadhlan now needs the workspace twice as big since now there are two robots to be constructed 😀

Baran is going to continue intro to programming

by doing challenges with higher level of difficulties

this challenge is not only teaching about geometric shapes but most importantly is about loop and nested loop

then Baran can continue to learn some Python with CodeCombat

Techa is probably younger than Baran, but he can keep up with the lessons 🙂

Sam is figuring out how to activate his Object Recognition App for the Blind with voice

we have to find a work around for this one

he can solve most of the difficult problems by himself. Just give him a simple hint and he will finish it 🙂

Friday is so much fun looking at how happy these kids are in the class 🙂

Maliq said that he couldn’t wait until today because he wanted it so bad to continue creating games 😀

Today Maliq learned how to make enemies run after the main character 🙂

he also learned how to add score and to change level

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 3 Aug 2019

Our busy Saturday Coding activities 🙂

Aidia is preparing presentation slides for the exhibition 🙂

She will present at least 3 projects on the exhibition: robot, automatic railway gate system and color sorting machine 🙂

Capt. Faris is busy with research, being a teaching assistant

and tuning Badi’s ukulele 😀

We just found out that Badi can play ukulele, very nice 🙂

today we had to fix this error. Pavilion19’s website is down because the hosting is rerouting the IP address

we had to report the error to the hosting admin

too busy to get off the chair 😀 😀 D

we sent emails, called the call center, to finally make the website up again. The problem remaining is that we still had to wait to get cpanel activated again

he created LOTS of room and you can imagine how complex the game is 🙂

and make it a very intuitive and interesting game to play 🙂

Kishan also carefully created awesome animations for the sprites, making his game looks very alive!

Syadad has been very seriously preparing coding for upcoming exhibition 😉

He had prepared many codes for building many structures in Minecraft, and going to invent new interesting structures 😉

Azmi is going to learn basic electronics today 😉

Capt. Awa helped Azmi installing Arduino and also copying ProCodeCG Handout to Azmi’s laptop

Azmi looked very interested in assembling things from the very beginning 😉

He is also willing to type in the code line by line. A very rare willingness for a kid 🙂

Finally Azmi got his LED blinking yayyy! 🙂
