ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Minecraft Modding – 25 March 2017

Wooo today we started Minecraft Modding Class 😉

Some kids still do their open topics like Cinta (in the middle) preferred to do Apps Programming

And Tyo moving back and forth between Minecraft and Java Programming 🙂

So yes we had lots of people and activities in the class today 🙂

We had to use bigger access point to provide enough internet connection for all 🙂

Koosha and Dad set up the access point

and Koosha brought his own Minecraft Server too 🙂

Some of the Espectro Kids were still there in the Minecraft Modding Class, they were singing together LOL

Kids were sooo happy 😀

Despite of many problems occurred during setting and installation

Raul was lucky to get Minecraft installed and could connect to the server right away

Muhammad was in Espectro Class, and he helped his little brother, Hasan to set up for Minecraft

We had parents to in the class, happy and helpful parents like this one! 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Parents are always willing to help 🙂 There are always Dads and Moms staying in the class helping 🙂

The activities monitored by the server

It was very difficult to control the kids not to switch mode from creative to survival 😀 The admin has to constantly op and de-op the kids once they start killing each other 😀

 

They like to set up TNT and explode everything *we really need to delete this world and start all over again LOL

 

Some of the kids had tried to execute some simple javascript code inside Minecraft

Some working on command blocks

Some hadn’t get the Minecraft working at all :(( Don’t worry we’ll fix it!

Next week we will start to learn how to install Spigot and write some simple code to be executed in Minecraft 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Espectro Programming – 25 March 2017

Our first day with Espectro 🙂

Today the class was set up by Zahran + Dad and Muhammad 🙂 Many thanks 🙂

Awa was really happy to use a Macbook for the class today 🙂

But today was not easy

We had to install lots of libraries and drivers. It took so much time, so we had to continue installing next week

Luckily we had Koosha

and Reza in the class, they attended Espectro Training last week so they help the class to download and install the libraries and drivers

Well the first time is usually the hardest

None of these kids finished the setting today

But don’t worry we’ll finish it next week and will get that Espectro onboard LED blinking! 😉

Yesterday ProCodeCG took part in Bandung IoT Maker Day yesterday 🙂 The event was held by DyCodeX and Makestro, took place at Co&Co Jl. Cipaganti Bandung

Yes we had kids in the class 🙂 They are ProCodeCG Kids 😉 This is Koosha

And this is Capt. Reza 🙂

We learned to blink LED on board new Espectro (ver 3)

Prof. Budi Rahardjo explained about how diode works

Founder of Makestro helped with library settings errors and amazed to see this kid finishing the tasks very fast 😀

Then we learned to activate neopixel on board

the setting is a little bit tricky but once we got it right, things work smoothly

Then we learned to use ProCodeCG LED to create Knight Rider effect with 6 LEDs

Then finally learned about MQTT

We installed MQTT Dash on Android devices to communicate with MQTT server

Testing to connect to Wifi via ESPectro

MQTT worked and we started to publish and subscribe from MQTT server from Android devices

We’re planning to create a class to continue this one, probably next month 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Open Topics – 18 March 2017

Our open topics class yesterday 🙂

Nanin, the youngest kid in the class had finished her Snoopy game 🙂

The game is more advanced now 🙂

With animating sprites 😉

While Faris created tons of apps with Android Studio

He created an attendance app for ProCodeCG Class 🙂

With awesome Date Picker 🙂

And a cool order form app 🙂

Vian had got his laptop fixed 🙂

And he seriously working on his game 🙂 He started thinking to buy the professional version of GameMaker 🙂

Raul was working on File I/O GUI in Java

He created a simple Address Book

Raul discussed with Faris on how to modify his Java code to be able to produce something like Faris’ Attendance List App

Raul’s next target is to modify this code to be able to do things like Faris’ 🙂

Koosha started learning Python with CodeAcademy 🙂

There is always things to do and to create each week 🙂 We’ll find more next week 🙂

 

 

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Arduino Programming – 18 March 2017

Yesterday Muhammad and his little brother Hasan (those two sitting on the back) helped us to set up the class 🙂 Thanks so much 🙂

We learned to display sensor readings to LCD 🙂 We started with LDR (Light Dependent Resistor)

Raul was a bit confused about the schematic because the LCD and the sensor were in different picture

but he finally figured it out 🙂

Raul finished the display of ultrasonic sensor reading too, but didn’t have time to continue on temperature and humidity sensor because he had to start his Java Programming lesson 🙂

Koosha finished the LDR and was tinkering with it but not yet finished the other sensors because there was problem with the library. It’s ok we’ll fix it next week 😉

And then connect it to LDR 🙂 Next week he’ll catch up with ultrasonic sensor and temperature & humidity sensor 🙂

We had to change the LDR several times until we found the one with correct readings 🙂 And it finally showing the correct values 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Arduino Programming – 11 March 2017

Yaaay this morning we found the class has been neatly set up by Capt. Awa and Mama 🙂 Thanks so much 🙂

What we love about ProCodeCG Classes is that it nurture bondings between parents and kids 😉

Mama Awa is a Coding Mom graduate and has done several projects and now is the Coding Mom Project Officer 🙂

Today we learned to use LCD I2C and create an digital voltmeter 🙂

Raul was so ready to start 🙂
