Sticker chat is an effective digital marketing!

And so are mobile games!

One example is Kim Kardashian Hollywood Game

It is very popular, it launched on 2014 and dominated Apple App Store charts!

But games can be made for different purposes, other than just money. Like this one. This game was created to remember Roald Dahl.

So games, is a prestige digital marketing tool 🙂

Prof. Budi Rahardjo also shared some visions and answering questions.

ProCodeCG Kids Programming Class 25 July 2015 – More on Logics and Problem Solving

Hello! ProCodeCG Kids Programming Regular Class has started!

Today we have 9 kids joining in, two of them are newcomers. about 5 – 6 other kids are still out of the town so hopefully next week we will have more kids! The more the merrier! 😉

Like in every ProCodeCG’s kids programming class, the method is peer-learning. We have several kids as captains with the responsible to prepare things and be teaching assistants. But all the kids are expected to be able to help other kids too 🙂

This is the process of class preparation. Starting up computers. preparing extension cables. Turning on the projector. Making sure there is available internet connection.

Today we continue learning about logics, algorithm and functions with Light Bots.

This is how it works: one captain giving demos on using the projector. Others are moving around giving help and make sure every kid reach the level expected in the class.

Kids perform better when they discuss things with each other 🙂

Learning like this is really fun! Sometimes we challenge each other who can solve a problem faster than the other. The loser should do some push ups LOL

Parents always have difficulties in picking up kids from this class. 🙂 🙂 🙂 The kids just won’t stop 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Half-Day Coding Camp for Advanced Day 3

Advanced Level Coding Camp Day 3! 🙂

Today we pick up from where we left yesterday.

We are now login into a same server and share the world together 😉 We implement several modding code on Minecraft command line. We build pyramids, castle, rainbows, triangle, etc. ! 🙂

After 2 hours like usual we do some yoga to avoid back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and stiff neck! 😉

We also do some push ups (Rafli manages to do 100x 😀 )

And some cobra pose 🙂

We go back to work afterwards

ProCodeCG Kids Half-Day Coding Camp for Advanced Day 2

Day 2 of Advanced Level Coding Camp!

We continue the previous lesson! We learn about how to create build shapes, structures, and skyscrapers using loops 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Half-Day Coding Camp for Advanced Day 1

First day of Coding Camp for Advanced!

Today we learn how to install CanaryMod, how set up the server, how to install ScriptCraft, how to install the latest version of Java and of course, how to install Minecraft too 😉

Some of the kids, of course, have already have Minecraft on their laptop. Minecraft is a very popular game and very good for stimulating creativity, logic, sense about spatial and strategy.

We typed in some JavaScript commands on Minecraft’s command line and see how they works.

Kids say that this is much easier than the lessons they got on the intermediate level 😀 but the truth is, they find it easier because they are doing it while playing 🙂

Kids understand better and faster if they feel like playing 🙂

It’s been hours and they keep saying “wow, time flies, i wish we could have more time!” 😀

Well don’t worry kids, we’ll still have plenty of time tomorrow! We will learn about looping, making decisions, event-driven programming, keeping score and many more! 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Half-Day Coding Camp for Intermediate Day 3!

We have a problem solving competition 😉

This is the winner of problem solving competition: Athaa – Azriel, Binar – Yumni. These two teams have got exactly the same score 😀

ProCodeCG Kids Half-Day Coding Camp for Intermediate Day 2

Today we typed our own code in Python! 😉

It took some time for us to install Python and the IDLE but after we got it work, we could immediately typed in the code and run it!

We learn to make a simple game using while, if and some random function 😉

We also learn some turtle moves to create interesting shapes

Capt. BR showed some code too 🙂

He also demonstrated how to create several shapes with penup() and pendown() function

And since some of the kids said that they had some backpain, we took a break and do some stretches a.k.a yoga! 😉 ❤

After the break they became refreshed and back to their work! 🙂

Woah. Today we had the youngest guest on ProCodeCG codeMeetUp(). Muhammad Arifin D. 19 yo. Founder of EcoSol SunHarvester.

He shared about “Cooking Electronics” 😉

This is his profile:

He began the journey since he was very young. For his 5th grade science project.

He creates the prototype with his own hands!

This is what can be done with the solar panel he created:

to produce hot water

to dry something indoor

to produce salt

The design keeps evolving so that he invented the portable version

Like this. This solar panel can be folded and put in a very thin box.

This young man also invent the control unit! This is the 1st version

ProCodeCG Kids Half-Day Coding Camp for Intermediate Day 1

Hello! Today is ProCodeCG Kids Half-Day Coding Camp for Intermediate Day 1!

Some of the younger students are from the Beginner’s Level and most of the others are older than those in the previous level, so this class has its own characteristic 😉

Today we learn to code with Javascript! 😉

We use Crunchzilla to learn about Javascript syntax.

We learn about parameters and drawing, variables, colors, transparency, operators and assignment, if and comparisons, r loop, lines, and functions!

After reaching some level, each student will have to make a code involving variables, loop and functions 😉

Tomorrow we will learn some Python!
