Our ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class yesterday π We’ve been splitting the class into two: 9 – 10:30 for Arduino/ESPectro Programming and 10:30 – 12 for Intro to Programming, GameMaker, Java Programming and Apps Programming.
But yesterday there were only 2 kids coming for the second class so we will compile the report into one report here π
The class in the morning, Awa and some students arrived earlier and it is almost sure that Awa set up the class again like last week π
Today we’re going to explore temperature and humidity sensor π
Ozan was getting ready with the board and looking at the screen for the scheme
Clarence was busy tinkering with his ESPectro board
Muhammad was going to test LDR sensor because it didn’t work last week
Renald busy opening the handout on his smartphone
Awa decided to play with ultrasonic sensor π He plannedΒ to test his new LCD module but got distracted with the ultrasonic π
Ok apparently Renald’s Mom had printed the handout so Ren was good to go! π
Clarence had problems with USB UART Driver for ESPectro. This happens a lot on Windows Β 7
Awa is always interested in whatever Clarence is doing π
We love each other yaaay π Sweet! π
Rheino was busy doing his schematic
Darrell forgot to bring his Arduino Kit but he can use the teacher’s so all good π
Some were having breakfast π
More kids were coming, including the twins! π
Capt. Malik showed up with LOTS of new things. He was working on his robotic project
And joystick
And motor servo etc. π
One of the twins Michael and Kevin (we still cannot tell the difference π )
Yaay Darrel temperature and humidity sensor works π
Everybody was busy. Including some parents π
The twins’ dad is very good programmer. He knows this stuff very well π
Ozan had to use two set of boards to finally found out that the problem was on the sensor driver π
Same thing happened with Ren’s computer (later his Mom fixed it by manually copying the DHT library to Arduino/libraries directory)
Ren’s Mom helped Ozan with the driver
And it finally worked and Ozan said “OK, I can go home now!” LOL
Then we got a newcomer in the Intro to Programming class: Robbie π
Kids from Arduino Class still have lots of things to do so they stay with the next class because we only have two kids in the next class π
and their works
This is what Darell did yesterday. An app with button showing a minion π Yaaay!
We have zillions things to do next week, will be reporting again! π
